Cap, I have ALWAYS maintained that the UN is corrupt.
I know EXACTLY how it was operated, Saddam took the food money and lined his pockets with it.
He made sure that he gave kick-backs in the form of sweet deals to France and Russia to ensure nobody pressed the investigation of this too hard.
I'm not sure if you were trying an end-around to blame the US/GB for Iraqi starvation, if you are, your quite naieve, and I don't think that's the case at all.
The sanctions caused a disaster in Iraq because Saddam willfully refused to give food to his people, another "proganda" victory for him, "UN kills thousands through sanctions."
I was hoping many have finally come to admit to themselves what Saddam was, and how wrong the UN was since 1991.
