It is interesting what people really do when they are not sitting behind a computer thinking about what they think they would do. I must admit that I have been very poor during periods of my life and I did steal. When you are hungry morality seems to conviently adjust to the circumstances. Even the Bible says that "no one despised a thief if he is satisfying his hunger". Too bad that we often confuse greed and avarice with real needs.

Theft implies ownership. Such will not be the case.

I love the misspelling of "opponent." A very subtle thing that accentuates the insult...

Food is one thing...
Desks and chairs are another. Looting usually implies the latter and not the former.

I would loot places I absolutely hate, like the building where the Republican party is based (if there ever is a revolution in the US I believe it would be Neo-con policies that tip people to revolt). I would also loot office buildings of the evil big bussinesses.

I'd loot a gun shop and then spend a few hours picking off all the hippies trying to loot the local Republican Party headquarters. Now, I have no love for the GOP, but I really can't pass up the chance to show some peaceniks just how misguided their beliefs are...

You're one to talk about empty rhetoric, UR.

Perhaps you would like to tell me how the differences between "redistribution of wealth" and theft in matters where you take things that don't belong to you in order to rise above the rhetoric thus far?

I would loot the army depot or the police armory. Some RPG's and a high powered sniper rifle never hurt in a time of crisis.

I would try and organize people to defend public property from being looted. The people of Saddam City have tried to do this, seizing looted goods and sending them to a local mosque. I don't know much more than that, although Saddam City is apparently the source of many of the looters, so they're having a hard time getting away with their ill-gooten gains.
