Favorite Movie Fight Scenes
What are your favorite movie fight scenes?
The Big Country- Gregory Peck and Charleton Heston fight for about ten minutes, take a break where CH says, "You sure take a long time to say goodbye", before going another 5 minutes or so to finish the fight.
The Final Fight in Karate Kid 2- They just spend a lot of time beating the crap out of each other.
Last Dragon- Final fight between "Bruce" Leroy Green and Sho'nuff. Camp at it's finest.
Die hard- fight between Bruce Willis and Alexander Gudonov. "First I'm gonna kill ya, then I'm gonna cook ya, then I'm gonna ****in EAT YA!"
Last but not least the final battle in Bachelor Party between Tom Hanks and Robert Prescott(Cole) fighting on the stage in front of a 3-D movie and doing exactly as the movie does.
ACK!

Probably the end of Last of the Mohicans (the Daniel Day Lewis one) where the father goes and fights off Mogwai and gets revenge for killing his only natural born son. (Hence making him the Last Mohican).

I have to admit I really enjoyed the fighting scenes in Matrix, especially the ones where Neo and Morpheus fight in a traditional decor

The underwater barroom brawl in Top Secret.
The movie-studio-encompassing end fight in Blazing Saddles.
I second the fight scenes in Princess Bride.
The archery battle in Princess Mononoke.
The duel between Ash and the Witch from the Root Cellar in Evil Dead II.

Jackie Chan's stuff.
The restraunt scene in Replacement Killers, or what was the name of that movie.
Blade fight scenes.
Anything having kickass HtH-firearm combo scenes, with good techno music in the background for me.

Yes good and funny.
and also agree on the Matrix. The new one should top it, if you can believe the rumors.
Jackie Chan is also another favorite. Pick any movie.

Close to the end of "An Officer and a Gentleman" where Gosset JR wins the fight in the hand-to-hand combat training ring by kicking Gere on the nads.
Then the 80's music-action movie (I can't recall the title - was it Streets of Fire?) when the hero and the bad guy (Willem Dafoe) meets for a fight. And the bad guy decides that they will fight with sledgehammers...

The Roddy Piper/Kieth David fight scene from John Carpenter's "They Live" is excellent.

The "Art of Fighting Without Fighting" scene is the best fight scene in the movie. Pure defeat.

In the very end of "Karate Kid" when Mr Miyagi just steps aside so that Tom Berenger's character smashes his knuckles bloody against a car window.

Azazel, you aren't one of those 'they can't fly in real life, this sucks!'-types?
Hong Kong action movies rules so much it makes my head hurt. They have artistic flicks, they have also good humor, good goreographics, weird acting and.. well they just rule m'kay!?

No I am more of the 'hey, dude, next time you're making a movie, try to have your actors to actually express emotion when speaking.'. I know that these movies are not about talk at all, but it spoils the movie's legitimacy as a story, and the brain totally unreceptible to the rest of the story.

Several of the scenes in "Brotherhood of the Wolf" are quite nice.
Opening scene in "Saving Private Ryan", and the similar scenes in "Band of Brothers". Frightening.
And I have to agree with the weapon switching scene in CTHD

I admit I´m thinking this
Most of the Hongkong action I can´t stand although in some movies those exaggerated fighting scenes are really great (eg. Matrix). However normally I prefer classic fighting like in Gladiator or gunbattles like in Saving Private Ryan or Blackhawk Down

The fight with the students in 'Chin Wu School'. It was released as the Chinese connection in the americas (but I saw the original in chinese ) . It was the first time I saw nunchuks used like that (and it led to many painful experiences practicing to do the same).
