First City! 3600BC
Well the first city - Imperialis until we get a better name - has been founded to include the musk ox special, where it has several forests as well as shiled grass within reach to tide us over. The hut was an Archer ( now a NON Archer), and I just found another hut. Now is when we really decide what to do...

That is quite a bit of tundra there - 4-special site would have had a glacier too probably best that we didn't try and use it. at least we have now have a water source to irrigate our cities with

Imperialis is a good name for our capital city. Keep it.

--sigh-- Sorry, just a Presidential screw up. To tell the truth the idea didn't even occur to me - I was focussed on where best to put the Capital, and simultaneously boggling at the sight of the terrain we find ourselves in.
For what it's worth, I am sending the save to the Ministers, including James Adams as Foreign Minister.
As for now, what about the location of city number 2? Of course if via exploration we find another special or two in the grass then that would be a better place, but assuming we have just what we get (and any specials in the pattern are on desert/tundra/jungle!), then near the lake seems to be a good choice....

Where the Settler is seems a good place. If we're not going to save it to build roads for free, we might as well get a 2nd city founded ay once.

if you found the city where the settler stands now, someone may want to make note that its a hidden special.

The pond is valuable. We should consider building close to it. It would be nice to find a river, though.

finally back online...
The ppl have voted so I draw my conclusions and present them here for our President:
"I suggest the hut get popped asap, otherwise it might be hard to guaranty the presidents safty from an angry mob.
About the archer...that should do some recon-missions nearby and later return to our Capital as defence.
We also should start training horsemen to claim this world as our own ."
