Because WW2 was balanced, and had variety.

LOL!
Well no-one is stopping you from making something new!
Scenarios are really dictated by the graphics available,
So, if you have a great idea for a fresh scenario, suggest it to the unit artists!
PS
I think there can never be enough WW2 scenarios, until someone makes the 'perfect' one.

Would that be on a Europe Gigamap by any chance?
www.bazzle.co.uk
Home of the Europe Gigamap
It is not perfect (some valleys missing) but I am using it for a European Disunion Scenario

Of course, to create the perfect world war two scenario the best assets of other scenarios should be taken.
What are the assets which make a good/great WWII scenario.
[U][B]Few Ideas of my own[U/][B/]
Inovative yet faithful units and combat design:
Torpedo bombers- air units with submarine capability, can only bomb ships
Anti Tank Guns- defence bonus against tanks (movement of two)
City walls specified- anti tank defences, infantry snare, trenches (no good against tanks or artillery), toggle unit "ignore city walls" flag
Social Engineering:
Too many (in my opinion) WWII scenarios give the Germans Fundamentalism (renamed Fascism) and the Russians Communism
These people would have us believe that there was never any dissent or resistance in German Territories but there were in Russians?
All factors taken into account the Russians should be given the Fundamentalist slot and the Germans the Communism slot. (offcourse in a Cold War Scenario the russians should be given communism to represent the power of troop occupation, but that's another matter)
Giving a player a Fundamentalist German nation to play as/contend with is quite unrealistic, and as I said should be given to the die hard Soviets
Well, thats about all i have to say on WWII scenarios

also using units with attack from 80-84
destroy all units in vacinity (like nukes) but don't cause messy polution
could simulate the horror of the V2 rocket? (offcourse they should be made cripplingly expensive, as all of Hitler's wonder weapons were)

Many troops were stationed in London, but very few were killed by V2s.

in regard to other scenarios [such as War on Terror, a joke scenario I am making] one could have dirty bombs (crude nukes, short range) and such weapons as daisy cutters, with the attack val 80-84
naturally it would depend what scale the scenario is
back to WWII, what does make the perfect scenario?

Frankly, 2194 was the peak. 2194 Gigamap was too large a game, and consequently, turns took too long. I believe 2194 days, and Red Front were its zenith

It was. And I do like having the advisors in the build screen, Red Front and 2194 gigamap lacked that.

remember how playable the WWII Europe scen which came with the game was?
was it the short yet fulfilling turn lengths,
was it the graphic simplicity?
i'm not so sure about 2194 days of war
if its the one I think it is (starting in Dec 1941?) I, playing as the soviets, captured all the way to warsaw in the winter offensive
# I wasn't even playing that efficiently! #
Some scenarios just give you two many units, making the scenario seem inaccurate as well as lengthy

I found second front was never the right difficulty, sometimes way too easy, sometimes way too hard. And yes, the soviets were far overpowered in 2194. That may be because fo Alex.
