Underline links to make them easier to see.
rah has noted that links are difficult to see, and other non-old-fartish people have agreed with him . So would it be possible to have the forum automatically underline links to make them easier to see? And if it's possible, would Dan or Mark implement the change?
And what is your opinion?

I agree with this. Links can be hard to notice, especially if you are scrolling through a long thread.

I thikn it is a good idea. Not the most important to implement, but I think it should be done.
But ColdWizard, I thought the Great Banana didn't like pancakes?

Nah, it would look ugly. You can probably force your broswer to underline all links if you so choose.

I already have IE set to always underline links and they still aren't underlined here.

Hey! Link This!
Actually, at times, it would be beneficial.

URL's are always underlined unless CSS rules are set to remove the underline.
I think it's the colour that makes the links hard to see.

I'd prefer them underlined. Occasionally it's too easy to miss one if it's in the middle of a block of text.
I think it depends on what style you use too, it's easier to see links on the MOO style than on the default.

I second this one, CW.
Now give me a Reis mark or I will poke you. *insider*
It's against traditional HTML not to have links underlined as when HTML was first used, links were one the most essential objects on web pages. Like they still are today. Or do I have to use Netscape Navigator 3.0 just to see my non underlined links?

And stop with this pancake thing. The Mighty Banana rules the world.

Underlining is so very ugly. I like it as it is.

I say no. I can see the links fine without underlining.
As for light, fluffy pancakes, that will forever remain a mystery.

I agree. The problem is compounded by people making the "hot spots" too small, like the length of a word or two.

Perhaps links should be underlined in quoted text, as the link is blue and the quoted text is also blue. Or maybe the link should be red.
