well, in that case, it's good. but, unlike a great number of people, i'm not eagerly awaiting the next star wars so much.
meaning, when it comes out in the theatres, i'll see it, just not opening day--or even opening weekend.
meaning, i don't check the news stories on the official sw or fan sites, nor do i feel a particular need to.
meaning, i was only speculating from common knowledge, as in the last two major alien characters, yoda and jar jar, were either completely cg or heavily cg. extrapolating from that partial information leads to the logical conclusion that lucas might indeed try to make chewie cg.
i stand corrected, but there's no reason to be snarfy about it.

You didn't read the article I linked. Hence, it was well withing my rights to get snarky about a statement already answered in said article.

I was going to post the lyrics to Chewbacca, then realized a significant % of the words would look like ****.
So, here is the link, for those who need to know - http://www.geocities.com/ironwallcol.../chewbacca.htm
btw - I'm glad to see him return !

Just put Chewy and a lot of light-saber killing, George... don't even think of Jar-Jar neither!
Anakin turning evil should be fun. Who is the actor that plays him in this movie?

wait so chewys in and han solo is not? from the star wars novels I've read han solo saves chewy from slavery on some imperial post, so that doesn't quite add up but then george lucas doesn't seem to care all that much anymore... sigh....

|
Actually, Tarkin's Death Star had little to do with law and order in the galaxy--it wasn't around long enough to have much effect!
The Tarkin Doctrine was simple--rule by fear. He was a sociopath who believed brutally oppressive policies were the best way to maintain control, a galactic Heinrich Himmler, so to speak.
In the end, I don't understand the idolization of him. Tarkin's doctrine was seriously flawed, and probably responsible for the rise of the Rebellion as a significant force in the first place. His policies invoked sympathy for the Rebels and abhorrence for the Empire. The destruction of Alderaan was simply stupid. His arrogance and one-dimensional thinking led to his death. Too bad for the Empire that he took some of their best minds with him, such as Admiral Motti and General Tagge.
What we need to see in the next SW film are the youthful incarnations of the great ones. You know: Admiral Piett and General Veers.

Sure it does. Wookies live much longer than humans do. I think Chewbacca is something like 120 years old in the original Star Wars film.

General Veers!
Good taste Boris, though you left out the greatest imperial of them all, Captain Needa.

Bah, Needa was a schmuck who didn't play smart.
Piett knew how to play the game, so I rate him above Needa any day!

I personally like to think of the Empire in Ep. 4 as YMI and the rebels as POX.
I'll leave you to guess what YMI and POX stand for.
