How does one set up an ISP game???

OK, quite simply I want to know how to play against another person 1 on 1 who's addresses are known to each other. Could some kind soul simply post an idiots guide. We both have UK PTW with the 1.14f patch, so that's sorted. I assume we don't need to muck around in Gamespy, but what do we have to do? Does one person host? What next???

In the PTW MP screen, the host player changes his Location from "Internet" to "Local. He the clicks the "Host" button. The joining player clicks the "Direct IP" button and tyopes in the host's IP address.
