Parasite Warnings?
It's been a while since I've been to Apolyton, and when I open www.apolyton.net I got warnings that I have three parasites installs onto my computer. Can I assume that these are legit? I mean I've trusted Apolyton for a while, no reason to stop now, just wondering if anyone has any info on this.

Mao, Download and install "SpyBot Search and Destroy"
Here is the URL for the download site:
http://security.kolla.de/index.php?l...&page=download
Evidently, you have spyware installed on your system. SpyBot will clean your system of these pesty voyeurs.

I didn't had the opportunity before to talk about this. I don't know if in others forums they have this pretty cool anti-bug device but got to tell you guys, it is really helpful. It has detected 4 bugs in my PC and another in the PC of my office.
I don't know who was the guy with the idea to include this on the main page but I thank him
BTW, great link, thanks Wittlich

The parasite detection part of apolyton.net is outsourced. As such, it is as trust-worthy as the site Apolyton uses to get this information from. That said, it hasn't been proven wrong yet.
IMO, try to remove the parasites it finds from your computer. You and your computer will be happier without this stuff wasting your CPU cycles. And install ZoneAlarm* to prevent any spyware from having much effect.
* Finding this software is left as an exercise to the reader.

You're sooo mean, Skanky.
As for the programs, use both Lavasoft Ad-Aware and Spybot S&D.

I never recommend posting the direct download link as that means people will most likely not check the main page for important information and also details about what the program actually is.

IIRC, parasite warning was originally installed on Apolyton to inform newbies about the Provost B forum bug.

Hey, there's no need for that. Some people might take offence as being called a MSIE user.
