I have eventually watched Puni Puni Poemi (we've talked about it in the latest Anime Apolyton thread). I haven't been baffled by the level of hysteria thanks to my experience with Excel  But I think the quality is overall lower than FLCL : too many easy jokes, too much emphasis on skin.
FLCL is what one needs for hysterical entertainment

The worst part is that there is probably some overweight, bearded nerd wanking to that picture right now.
Anyway, returning to the issue at hand(!), I must cast my vote for Elfquest's Winnowill, especially after around hardcover book six when she's managed to cast off that clunky clothing. I mean, I *do* understand her viewpoint when it comes to exterminating those nauseatingly adorable Wolfriders. Damn, I can't find a good picture of Winnowill in her that-hair-seems-to-always-strategically-cover-the-good-spots period.
