Would you suck blood to live forever?
As the title implies, would you become a Vampire in order to gain immortality?

No, I enjoy being a mortal, as long as I have full control over my death.
Besides, I like having normal social relations, and not being feared by every human I meet.

Sure I'd do it, I already prefer my steaks cooked rare, so I might as well get an added bonus to go along with my food preference.

I need the sun. I don't want to be a depressed vampire. Anne Rice already has too many novels. Besides, I'd hate to have to join the Republican Party with all the rest of the blood-suckers.

Well then, I'll just stick this convenient wooden stick through your heart.
The added bonus of the wooden stick is it also work on humans.

Good one Che
If becoming a vampire means that I have to become a depressed gothic loser, than no.
If becoming a vampire means that I have to submit to the fact that there is a god, and I have been damned, then no.
If becoming a vampire means that I can no longer eat garlic, see myself in the mirror, lay out in the sun, or sleep in a comfortable bed, then no.
Note: I still don't understand why goths are so depressed and obsessed with dying.

Bram Stoker's Dracula could walk around in the daytime but his powers were reduced.
To answer the question--sure-Picking up woman would be a snap if the powers of persuasion thing is to be believed.

Btw, I live in Rio, but I hate sun. Oh, well...
|
I'd probably love Rio.
It would be too damn humid for me, though. Give me the desert, a sleeping bag for those nights, a CD player with my favourite songs, and a large water canteen. And I'll be set for the desert.

I don't get the charm of the vampire thing. Live forever...as a parasite. I have joined the ranks of tapeworms, mosquitos and ticks. Lovely.
I answered with the WTF answer though, because it more accurately reflects what I felt at the time.

It is interesting to trace that back. Eventually you arrive at ancient greece and the "lamias" which feasted on the dead. then it became common balkan folklore. then vlad came along in transylvania and gave it a new thrust and then stoker opened up the eyes of the english speaking world to it and then hollywood became involved etc etc etc.
