Here is the lastest status of the front. All quiet, but for how long....? And those Stukas seem too close for comfort....

Are you goinng to defend Demyansk? The road to Novgorod has been destroyed, and thus any significance as a route of re-supply to Leningrad is lost.

Yes it will for two reasons:
1. we don't know when the road will open again and if it does, Demyansk will be a vital way to get to Leningrad.
2. If we don't stop them there, they can start attacking Yaroslav and reach hither-siberia. not a good thing...

I agree keep Demyansk, I pillaged the road as a precautionary messure (those panzers are way too close for my liking currently) and it can be rebuilt quickly when needed in the future...

Kallinin won't be hard to defend if Colwyn stops the axis at Vitebsk-Smolensk,
I've never had problems with Demyansk, but if the city falls we are screwed, after the fall of Narva we cannot lose any other city

...and summarily destroyed!
The Fascist pig-dogs are quaking in their boots!
In other news, forces are being regrouped for the defense of Demyansk. A KV-1 should be rushed there or it might fall

Be sure to ask the Marshal, because we are brainstorming on many (bold) plans in several threads, and I don't think we can do them all in the same season. We might need units elsewhere, so it might be wise to take defensive positions. There is no point in taking cities and then losing them, together with some of our valuable units. We will need to reinforce the cities on the Don, plus Stalingrad and Rostov, for soon the pontoon bridge will be there, together with a lot of units, aiming towards Stalingrad.
I think next winter will be the time to launch a fullscale offensive, and try to beat the Germans out the Baltic States! We should however learn to start our offensives immediately when winter begins, so we can take as long as possible advantage of our better winter warfare abilities. Plus, we will need a coordinated attack, on all fronts, so they can't send any reinforcements to counter one of our attacks without leaving some gap(s) elsewhere.
Just my opinion, I'm not the marshal, nor a commander, nor an advisor to STAVKA. I can only draw your attention to certain things, and hope some people mentioned above will keep this in mind.

I dont disagree Comrade but there is a point to doing this. Depriving the facists of a city even for a few turns disrupts his reinforcing with more units. (Captured cities are spawning points!)
I think that is the reason we are planning this offensive on this front in conjunction with the Belorussian front.
I do what my Marshall tells me. Its up to him and the Front Commanders where they want to attack.
Although I do agree right now we can not do everything everywhere!

Exactly my point, comrade! I think we will need to point out some priorities, for our resources are not unlimited (although our workers are the best in the world, working for their country the best they can)

There are now 4 SU-122's that are available to attack Khlom! Plus two Siberian Regiments that can be used in a follow on support role. However, if you decide not to attack, one of the SU-122's south of Kalinin is to be handed over to the Belorussian Front

If Colwyn is up for it, I will attack. Are all 4 of those units in the stack for the North-West Front?

But I think they move like red guards, you might have to check rules text on that. If its closer thay may be able to just go right thru the woods.
I would check that out Anzac.

Ya with 8 attack and 6 defense. Ignore Anti tank defenses too!
ASSAULT troops.
Were gonna kick some Nazi A$$, were gonna kick some Nazi A$$!
Ill see what I can do to rush some Red Guards in the vicinity to back up the offensive. (Defensive troops to hold ground after the offensive.)
