I'll use an example to show what I mean:
The Egyptians are Religious, Industrious, why?
The Americans are Industrious, Expansionist, why?
The Zulu are Militaristic, Expansionist, why?
etc, etc, etc

Quite difficult to explain it for all civs.
For example, it is easy to understand why the Egyptians are religious due the great monuments they built for their gods. And it is easy too to understand why the Babylonians are scientific as we consider that they invented writing. But for the others...
I suppose Firaxis defined the attributes first and tried to apply the couple of them that best correspond to a civ, compared to other civs.

OK
I think I can figure out most of them
But it is hard to figure out what defines an Industrious Civ.

Perhaps "Industrious" refers to the productiveness of a civ. The Egyptians certainly had to be productive to build those huge pyramids, mastabas, tombs, palaces, etc.!
I think the Chinese should have been "Expansionist" along with "Industrious" though. Many dynasties partuclarly the Qin and the Han sought to greatly expand their empires.

Speaking of Industrious, Expansionist
Can you think of any ideas for another Civ with that trait?
