Aren't the Belgians the ones with abused slave children tied up in the dungeons?
Good, put them in charge.

Not tied up in the dungeon. Dead in the basement.
Actually, what you are saying is sadly not an empty troll. The Beligan judiciary never attacked the well-placed people, because the whole Belgian establishment was involved in this ****.

"Aren't the Belgians the ones with abused slave children tied up in the dungeons? "
The belgians have been too busy comitting genocide in the Congo to focus on their children.
"and to all you people who wonder why Belgium should be the judge of earth, well who made the USA judge of the world, simply invading countries because it suits them..."
The USA has the power to back it's judgements. Belgium does not.

Oh I thought that Belgium was nuetral Lancer? Are you telling us that they are not the epitome of fairness? Boy, you learn something new everyday around here. I will think about this the next time I order a Belgium waffle. Come to think of it, maybe that is where they got that espression -- "waffling"?? Food for thought...

has nothing to do with an international courtyard though.

I don't know if you can pin it on one person, but I guess Oppenheimer would need to take part of the credit.

I fail to understand why you think lawsuit against gen. Fransk would be frivolous. Is he in charge? Yes. Are they shooting civilians there? Yes.
Get it to court.

I wasn't so much commenting on the merit of the lawsuit as I was pointing out the fact that Americans are the lawsuit-happy society, not the Belgians.

I looked at it. I don't see what the big deal is. It's just one whacko. Fry him in the chair and get on with it.
Doesn't implicate the society or anything.

I wouldn't call Leopold's adventures in Congo an act of Genocide (that has become the trendy term that everyone bandies about to try to paint their opponents black) but neither was it a very humane exercise.

Is that scene real? I recall reading something that the US flew in the Iraqi opposition to pull down statues of Saddam in front of the camera...

What? Black is a word in the English language and it is traditionally used in snetences like this even before the American colonization and slavery.

Well I believe that any attept by Belgium or Belgians to attack General Franks through their legal system to be totally absurd. Hope that helps.
