Yop, what would you say to an airport in Kandalaksha? We could effectivly double our trade revenue per turn by increasing our airlift capacity.

I'm building a freighter in Archelansk, which has an airport. So I can transport the trade-units to the Caucasus.

an airport in kandalashka is a good idea, as freighters can reach it in 1 turn even in winter (and thus no need to leave them in the open)

Here's all the latest news on the Murmansk front.
4 more convoys delivered in Murmansk
2 travel towards to Leningrad
1 airlifted to Maikop.
1 put on ship to Archangelsk, arriving next turn for airlift.
We need to finish a transport between Archangelsk and Murmansk.
Also, I'd like to build an airport in Kandalaksha just so we can airlift every single convoy as they reach Murmansk to the high trade regions of the Rodina.
We had 5 sitting in Murmansk plus the two on the road to Leningrad, for a total of 7!
Launched attack on Helsinki Fortification.
KV-1 trashes AA battery
Shturmovik crushes 2 Finnish Infantry
Katyushas deployed to smash Helsinki before the winter.
Fighters deployed to block non-fighter finnish counter-attacks.
(Especially that doggoned Finnish Navy)
That should relieve some of the pressure on Talinn next turn.
Nothing like an attack on your capital to redirect your attention.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Summary of front cities(before attack)
Viipuri:
1 Katyusha Rocket
1 AA Battery
1 LA-5
2 Motorised Infantry
1 Machine Gun
1 KV1
Kitelia:
2 Katyusha Rockets
1 T-34
1 LA-5
1 Sturmovik
1 AA Battery
3 Red Armies
1 Anti-tank Gun
Kandalaksha:
1 General
1 KV1
1 LA-5
1 Anti-tank gun
1 Red Army
1 Cossack
Murmansk:
2 Motorised Infantry
1 Cossack
3 Red armies
2 AA guns
1 T-34
What are we going to do about Hammerfest?
If we rush an AA, we may be able to hold the city, and then launch Sturmovik raids on the Nazi fleet patrolling the channel between Hammerfest and Murmansk.
I'd love to smash the remaining ships, so we can haul our transports without fear.
Let's see if I can't get some screenshots up tonight.

Try and hold Hammerfest!
Surely the Nazis resources in Norway are almost depleted!?

Not much action.
I'm back, though not for long...
I'll be able to play this weekend when I get back from work in the frozen north, travelling past stunning mountain ranges and staggering wildlife.

No Finnish scribes allowed
Here's the latest preparations on the Murmansk front to punish the Finns for their brutal slaughter of peaceful Labour Brigades along the shores of the Baltic.
Airlift to Groznyy from Kandalashka
Airlift from Murmansk to Baku
Our noble Katyusha Rockets, Tanks and Motorised infantry continue to batter Helsinki from secured fortfied positions along the Baltic. More Rockets arrive to join the buoyant beseigers.
Cossack calvary continue to harrass the Finns all over the Murmansk front.
UK cruisers sank 3 Nazi Submarines off the coast of Narvik, to avenge the loss of another convoy.
Next turn I want to try to airlift four convoys to relieve the queue of ammunition loaded in the Port of Murmansk.
This is the plan for airlifts.
From:
Leningrad,
Murmansk
Kandalshka
Archangelsk
To:
Baku
Groznyy
Maikop
Stalingrad, respectively.
If Stalingrad-Leningrad is a no-go, then I will airlift 3 next turn to complement the two airlifted this turn.
With the blessings of the Marshall and the Baltic front commander, I would like to attack Helsinki next turn.
Here is what I will have available:
4 Vet Katyusha Rockets, all healed or very close to full.
1 Vet Shturmovik from Kitelia
2 Vet LA-5
1 Vet T-34
1 Vet Armoured Infantry
3 Vet Cossack Calvary.
1 Vet, gravely wounded KV-1
Here's what I would like to do next turn, with the assistance of the Baltic front commander.
Rushbuild a transport in Talinn
Haul another Katyusha Rocket to the Helsinki Fortification, it should have enough moves to pummel Helsinki next turn.
Send another Shturmovik from Talinn to Helsinki.
I would also like to hold 4 Naval Infantry in reserve from Leningrad, on a Freighter which should be able to land in Helsinki next turn if needed.
Once we capture Helsinki, we will secure our northern front, and humble the flagellating Finns.

Forgot about that.
I'd still like to have the Katyusha Rocket in Talinn available and the naval infantry from Leningrad to secure Helsinki.
Does the plan otherwise seem reasonable with a high chance for success?

I didn't think we had any naval infantry left in Leningrad...
In fact, Leningrad should be almost empty, all of it's equipment is on the road, heading towards Riga.

Start sending some of those convoys to Archangelsk. And why the hell are we building freighters there?!

The reason for building a second freighter is so that we can set up a flow, one freighter on the West of the White Sea, and another on the East. This way we can haul 1 convoy per turn into Archangelsk, rather than 1 convoy every two turns.

just snag it from one of the arriving convoys!!!!

It would be much easier to shipchain the convoys, but I believe we agreed specifically to not shipchain.
Besides, it's not like I'm wasting shields. When I took over the front, Archangelsk was one turn from finishing the freighter.
ANZAC
Any screenshots of Helsinki?

BTW, can anyone tell me what I should be doing with the truck convoys that come in?

If you mean convoys already in the Rodina, this was the plan to get them to where we can earn cash for them.

As for the convoys that arrive in Britain, you'd best ask Yopov about his successful runs. In the two turns I played, I could not push one convoy through the german naval blockade.

Perhaps the Economic Minister would like to think about that a bit, we already have all the oil producing cities with full trade routes, perhaps it is time to start branching out with trade routes from other high trade cities

Helsinki Falls! Finnish Resistance collapsing!
General Georgi Nikolai Anzyakov after being switched from command to command finally settled into the Murmansk Front taking over for General Obiwan.
Finnish troops and equipment being crushed under the Soviet Steamroller!
General Anzyakov inherited the forces for an invasion to end Finnish resistance and this plan was effected with brutal efficiency.
Soviet forces marching to victory!
Helsinki was quickly subdued and now forces are marching into the interior of the country to liberate the workers from capitalist oppression!
The capitalists we shall soon crush in Finland!

Obiwan told me to transfer those infantry, so...
