Given that Communism is, even more so than Christianity, a religion based upon the scantest of evidence, I'd like to wish you a Happy Mayday too, Che. May your chosen belief system bring you inner peace.

Hitler was a leftist.

Actually, from Fez' point of view, this kinda makes sense. He probably thinks something like:
Weak government = freedom = right-wing government
Strong government = oppression = left-wing government
And if I'm not mistaken the nazis had a large influence both in the social and economic sphere, so in his mind they were probably leftists.

Maniac.. for a long time I was a right-wing authoritarian. Some may allege I am the same because I want tougher controls in some areas.. but I am actually more a center-right wing moderate.. with some elements of right-wing conservative views.
The Nazis had big parts in the economy and that is a big negative. And there treatment of minorities, gays, and jews was downright despicable.
I want a government which is transparent, and its central powers limited to providing civil services, nothing more.

Aren't they same thing? Kidding yah... I am a mix of the two.. Either word "capitalist" or "corporatist" would be fitting to describe me.
Just like the words "Stalin" and "Pol Pot" woud be fitting to describe you.. just kidding yah...
You know Sava you are a good person.. I will respect you if you lay off from me.

I want that too. Probably our differences lie in the definition of "Civil Services". For me for example, that includes, public transport, education, health care, antitrust laws, environmentalist- and social-protective laws... You probably want to leave all that to the market. Which makes you very right-wing in the eyes of many people, though you yourself may consider those opinions centrist.

The extreme left and the extreme right are, IMO, have more in common than one would expect, so it's not suprising that one might confuse one with the other. (And sometimes people go so far to one extreme, they come out the other side... )

Anybody see those illogical riots in Germany on TV? Schroder is about to do something intelligent and you get those fools out on the street. It is like this: Let businesses fire a bit more easy and restructure or have the private sector collapse. That is what Germany is faced with. Want to end up like Argentina which has terrible labor laws making it impossible to fire workers? Probably not.

Actually probably the "rioters" do want that. But you seem unable to empathize with the situation of other people.

Okay so they will get a total economic collapse. Empathize with what other people? German businesses have to restructure or they are screwed. It is that simple. That is a fact. Not an opinion. Maybe these laws will initially hurt, but take a look at it this way.. do they really want a total economic collapse like Argentina? Which to mention is struggling with 17% unemployment.

Could you explain what that picture is of and what the crowd stands for? I don't know.
I am not against this day as a holiday. I would of got it either way because of the IB exam tomorrow... but it is fine.

The picture is of the Mayday celebration of the "Vlaams Blok", a Belgian neo-fascist party. Not very nice people.
I once walked into an Antwerp bar that was frequented by party members. Lot's of skinheads and nazi flags. I never left a bar that quick.
