the yes vote is inflated as I, like ari, voted yes as it was clearly the banana option

And because not everyone can be bothered to vote "no" since it is a statement of the obvious. Waste of time.

Nevertheless, with 80%, I would have won on an "image" point of view. And, as for the abstentionists, noone ever care about what they think.

Hmm...
Panag, no offense at all, but I was wondering...
Is the photo of Sharon under your name something ironical, or actually do you support him ?
Just a question. Don't feel attacked.

hi ,
one of the things DL stand for is the meaning of Double Login , its the creation of a second handle , .... you are not allowed to use that
some people find it funny to do a dl dance when they see a new person on the boards , .....
the poll could have included indeed the option "abstain" , ......
pic = no comment
attacked = nope , why should i
have a nice day

Le Comte is right on the abstentionists thingy. It the same thing at every government elections. When you're abstain you refuse to take your Republican rights and therefore have no impact on the new government. Nobody cares what you're thinking.
You abstain=You're out
But on the other hand: "This isn't a Democracy here" Hmm I could swear I heard this quote before but could not remember where

No they shouldn't.
Two different sites with different management.
Makes it interesting to observe the differences in management style over essentially the same topic.
