Which country would you rather LIVE in?
Seeing the ridiculous results of the "which country is worse" poll, which immediately was misinterpreted, I'm going to ask a more pointed question - which country would you prefer to live in, given a choice and ignoring "I love my home" sort of arguments (phrased poorly, but you should know what I mean).

I'd live in any old crappy third world country if I could set myself up as facist dictator for life.

For you, even the USA would be okay, since Utah is it's own little world.

BELIEVE ME, there is a difference.
Even Texans are more polite than Utahns. Of course, if you are moromn in Utah, it helps.
I lived there for 30 years, I know.

Why? If, according to the UN, Canada can make it as the #1 country to live in for several years in a row, who am I to argue?
Although New Zealand seems like a pretty good place to hang out in IMO. Good weather, beautiful scenery and all that sort of stuff. My other choice would be The Netherlands, but then as a former Dutchman, I'm kind of biased. I like their social policies, though I'd probably find it a little to crowded for my liking.

It depends on whether I have $. Without much $, I'd say Vancouver is the best. Greece seems like a nice place, but it's too hot in the summer. Mauritius and Marta are good places too.

Greece has nice weather but the place was really poor. In many ways it looked as poor as the rest of the balkans. I'd need a place which was highly developed, had excellent weather, low taxes, a democratic government, and fairly low corruption. That leaves California, Florida, parts of Australia, possibly New Zealand or Chile. But most of southern Europe would be out because of the high taxes.

I quite like the idea of hopping to the otherside of the Channel and live in the Netherlands. Problem is its even more crowded than where I live.

Tübingen, Germany. I've just visited the place today, and it is absolutely neat ! It seems to be great to live in, and not only to visit.
If any of you goes to southwestern Germany as a tourist, you have to see it
