OOC: The idea of making a CC Rules thread is definatly needed... and should be explaining my actions too bit....
Upgrading an army does take time, doesn't happen instantly like in the game, since we are playing by months, not years. Hive is ready for war, but to upgrade theirs forces does take time and does take a lot of energy credits. Hive ain't the best economy wise... so they can't instantly upgrade every single units, especially when the Hive has the second biggest ground forces on Chiron, practicly all of cheap units (units without armor and with no abilities). Same with improvements like Bunkers, does take time to build them, especially bunch of clustered bunkers in a 500km x 500km square. The PKs didn't instantly built their Defence Lines, especially across thousands of kilometres, same with arrays all ocver the place, it took them decade or more atleast to do, when the Spartans didn't know that the PKs came back to the continent.
Also, Hive Command sent orders to Major Kurita's units, but he Never replied because they are in Peacekeeper territory and Peacekeepers would intercept it and then make the Hive units has the enemy. So Yang doesn't know yet for sure Who the Units are following, and he does realize that the peacekeepers could intercept their communications. Yang simply has to wait and see. Yang knows that Kane is not loyal to Yang anymore, but still loyal to the Hive in general. same with the rest of the units.
Guardian, you control the Peacekeepers, you have the say has to where your units are, with reason. The Reserve Units started out in the middle of the defence lines. even north of the middle of the def lines, there is the Fungus Patch by that Fungus Missile... which may intefere with the supply lines to the SPartans troops in the Front Lines. at the moment, the eastern parts of the defence seem to be the most defended at the moment while the western parts has already been punched through. Spartans was only able to destroy most bunkers in the one square. there is still Defence Units in the adjacent bunker squares since the squares are 500x500 kms, zone-of-control is pretty useless for Bunkered Gatling Squads to defend. Mobile units can.

We will not lower our weapons while we still in a hostile territory. Our original orders was to help out the Peacekeepers, but the Hive as change its mind and now have allied with the Spartans. But we have already entered Peacekeeper territory before the Hive has change plans, so we continued pertending to follow our Renegade General who opposes the Hives new plans until we are able to join up with your forces. Do you need any further information?

We aknownledge, but we cannot continue further contact until the Peacekeepers becomes hostile to us Chairman. Please see our wisdom of this prudence.

The Hive units continue to move towards the Spartans positions, but at a slower speed. The commander of the two units sent to intercept the retreating PK artillery units have reported that he has contacted the commander of those units. The PK commander has agreed to "surrender" his units to Kurita and ask for their new orders. Kurita ordered his unit to protect the pk artilleries while they move to a position south-east of the Spartans forces at the defence lines. (Several hundred of kilometres away from spartans). Kurita then sends the Spartan Commandera message of the interception of the retreating pk artilleries and their surrender.

Many of the people in Hive territory who are spreading Free Drone propaganda our Hive citizens themselves. I can't simply tell them to stop, they will not listen to me. Even if they would, I don't know who to contact. If the Hive treated its people better, they wouldn't be having this kind of problem, they wouldn't of had people like me running off to establish their own faction. But do know for sure Colonel, all of my operatives have stopped helping some of those people.
As for your little problem at Janissary Rock, Free Drone is not to blame for them wanting to declare independence and wanting to join my Faction. You seem to be having the same problem has the Hive, now that both your factions are allies. Ain't Janissary Rock mostly comprise of ex-Hive slaves? Maybe they are not very happy of your factions alliance with the Hive. What makes you think they will listen to me when their own brothers and sisters in Hive territory will not?

Some Battle Dragon units have started destroying mines and solar collectors north of Janissary Rock.

The Probe Team have started making recordings of the firefights going in the Base, now that the rebels/rioters pretty much started to do random bombings and inciting riots themselves. Some Probe members have notice that the Blockade Guardians will be arriving. They have also detected a black APC coming too. Spartan Probe Teams are coming. The Probe Team is worried, but they are ready. Let see how they will find them in a rioting base. Some start rigging the Perimeter Defence surrounding the base to blow, with help of rioters.
OOC: The Probe Team will be hiding. In a rioting base, it will be hard, since the whole rioting populace continues what the Probe Team have been doing since they started the whole thing.

CultVision News.
Defense Upgrades:
Following fears of invasion a large scale project has begun to upgrade defenses of all Cult bases. Thanks to the technological assistance from the Peacekeepers we now have the ability to construct highly effective defense systems. Our prototype AAA Plasma Garrison has been completed - no longer shall we be at the mercy of other factions airpower.
After the crossing fiasco our native navy is going to be complimented with conventional foils - 2-3-4, AAA Hoverboats for coastal Patrols and new Missile foils equiped with anti-aircraft targeting systems. Our industrial sectors are sparing no expense to ensure the new weapons are of top quality
OOC:
AA Plasma Hoverboats: 2-3-4, AAA
Missile Foil: 6-1-4, SAM (Attack not halved for ground/naval SAM unit)

Spartan Newswagon
The Cult of War made its presence official
Yesterday, in a sudden move, the Cult of War announced its presence. Before that, only rumors were moving about this Cult.
Hundreds of followers poured out into the streets, causing the officials almost to panic. Dozens of happenings were organized, which showed the Cultists battle prowess.
In one happening, one follower of War, as they are styling themselves, beated ten elite soldiers in hand-to-hand combat, all at the same time.
In another one, the Cultists were shooting and destroying AT missiles in flight, with only plain impact rifles to shoot with.
A third happening occurred in Sparta commands mindworm research institute, where a cultist jumped into a quarantine room full of mature mindworms, shredding the poor worms into pieces with bare hands.
The most impressive happening was when one of the cultists successfully evaded constant gatling serial fire after daring the practicing soldiers to shoot at her, in one of Sparta Commands local target practicing centers.
One of the soldiers shooting at this particular cultist commented, “She moved like a lighting… damn, those people are possessed…”
According to sources, after hearing about this, Santiago immediately ordered the head priest of the cultists, George Brienman, to show up for negotiations.
After two hours of negotiating, Junta press representatives explained the details to the public.
- The Cult is absolutely loyal to Spartan authority, and will have the status of the only religion allowed to practice inside Spartan territory.
- Citizen are free to join the cult, but are not allowed to abandon their duties. Also, temporary joining and practicing in the care of the Cult is allowed.
- The Cult will put its share into the war effort, by creating separate “units” made out completely of cultist.
- The Cultist will, in all Spartan bases, join the Voluntary citizen defense forces to defend the bases against riots or an attack from outside.
Particularly the clauses of creating new units and the riot control are interesting.
First, four new units of Cults best soldiers are already gathering at various bases, but unfortunately they won’t have any rovers, and only two of them will have AAA support. Otherwise, they will have fairly new technology, as Plasma armor and Gatling guns. We are not talking about regular elite soldiers here, but people devoted to honing their skills of War, making them supernatural on the battlefield.
Secondly, many Cultists have joined the Voluntary units, giving extra power into riot controlling and defense of the base.
Only speculations can be given at this time, why did the Cult of War come out right now? Of course, the raging war and the bloody riots had probably an effect on the decisions of the Head Priests.
(OOC: I´m practically creating a sub-faction into the Spartan Federation, that for now seems to be satisfied with the conditions. The Cultists units have +100% when fighting, and as they don’t feel fear, mindworms are quite useless against them. The drawbacks are a very atrocious way of fighting( eg. ripping their enemies hearts out and eating them) and the timely training of new cultist units.)
More riots in Janissary Rocks
The local officials have declared already a martial law in Janissary Rocks, and the local garrisons and Voluntary units have been fighting with these outright rebels for days now. The rebels are waving the Free Drone flag, and are declaring independence of the Spartan Federation.
The base population seems to be roughly divided into half, but the soon arriving Blockade Guardians and the now into Voluntary Units joining followers of War, will probably calm down the riots.
In Janissary Rocks
A group of armed rebels were running in the evening streets of Janissary Rocks, trying to overwhelm the local voluntary units bridgehead.
Suddenly, dozens of them fell down on the ground, shot precisely between the eyes. The survivors started panicking, as they didn´t even hear gun shots.
The next moment, ten shady figures jumped from the tall buildings, right into the middle of the group , in mere minutes shredding the whole group into pieces.
The commander of the Blockade Guardians was watching from the top hatch of the command rover the base, smoke rising from it. In a few hours, they would be there.
The regular transport rover was driving towards Janissary Rocks, the only passengers aboard it was the first probe teams of many, going to the base, in hope for power and glory if they can defeat the enemy probe team.
[
b] The Main Army[/b]
General Von Halzburg was looking at live picture, coming from a captured sensor array near the bunkers.
It´s impossible to go through here, with or without Nerve gas, he thought.
maybe through here, but what about somewhere else…
“Order the troops to stop advancing, and send the Jets back. Plans have changed.” He ordered the comm. officer
The Main army changed its course towards west, picking up top speed, evading peacekeeper radars, and leaving behind sensor arrays rigged with explosives and a devastated countryside.
At the same time supply freighters left War Outpost, full of Nerve gas and new replacement soldiers for both the Main army and the Combined army.
(OOC: BTW, Weiss doesn´t know much about General Kane, and certainly doesn´t know about the units loyal to General Kane that have defected from the Hive. And he definitely won’t believe this story immediately )
From: Commander Weiss
To: Major Kurita(Hive units)
What? The Hive, here? What is Kane doing here? Stop right there, deactivate your weapons and explain me the whole story.
As our new allies, I won´t attack you people, but I still don´t trust Hive units that have apparently unharmed, crossed through the chokepoint and trekked through half of PK area just to join our battle group? And without even mentioning about this to us beforehand.
From: Colonel Santiago
To: Foreman Domai
Foreman, what are you meaning by that they are not willing to do what you asked them to do? As I said, the Hive has agreed with a peace treaty, we paid a nice price for it.
Also, there are massive riots in Janissary Rocks, and guess whose flag they are waving there? Yours, my dear Foreman. I believe your probes haven´t started these riots, which would have been a stupid and ungrateful move.
So, as a favor, I would like you to send the rebels a message, in where you deny support for their actions, and explain that they are pawns in a enemy probe team plot.
I am sure they will believe you, and I´d be grateful if you do it.
The benevolent Leader of the Spartans,
Colonel Santiago
In the conquered bunker, Near UN Data Acquisition
The sensor array were going crazy, from out of nowhere the unit rover unit parked outside of the bunker had been suddenly blown up, and there was swarm of locusts coming in fast.
With practiced precision, the Spartan soldiers, from two moderately damaged units and the ones without any rovers, took out their flame guns and organized themselves on the bunkers walls, waiting for the incoming locusts.
Minutes later, the nearby two artillery units opened fire, shooting missiles full of napalm. These were not SAM missiles, but just plain ones that exploded when hitting something. And hitting something in a locust swarm wasn´t hard.
The explosions ripped through the swarm like a hot knife through butter…

In Janissary Rock...
The followers of War were massacring the rebels. All around the base, rebel groups were ambushed abd destroyed by the war-expert Cultists. The final showdown was going to be on the perimeter defense.
Fifteen cultists were charging the rebel lines, in order to get to the perimeter defense. They were evading the rounds coming from the rebels machine gun like lightings,
and in the next moment, they divided into two groups, jumping onto the makeshift barricades, shooting rebels right and left.
Moments later, the Voluntary Units arrived, seeing for their surprise and even disgust only shredded rebel bodies, some of them missing heads and hearts.
Up in the tall buildings, a Cultist was snipering a group trying to rig explosives on the perimeter defense. With two of them dead, only one remained. The damn bugger was running like a mad animal towards the perimeter, a small packet in his hands.
Just a little bit and... *Snipe*. The rebels head exploded into thousand pieces.
"Area secured." The Cultist radioed and continued onward.
But this same scenario happened near every Perimeter pylon. Some of the Cultists weren´t so precise, and bombs were rigged.
Minutes later, explosions shook the base, with some of the western pylons falling outwards.
Commander Sharion of the Guardians, was gathering his rover army in front of the base. As a show of power, they all shot missiles high up in the sky, exploding with power and beauty.
As a "reply" the perimeter pylons in front of them, colliding into the gound with a loud *THUM*.
"What the Hell!?" the commander shouted.
After a few moments of puzzlement, the Guardians continued into the burning city, driving into the streets and contacting the local authorities.
After they had secured this base, they would go north to find what was happening out there.
Suddenly, reports started flooding the command rover of attacks on various facilities north of the base, and according to the sensor arrays it were same rovers that had terrorized the Wastes.
The commander quickly made a decision, and sent four War rover units to find the attackers and destroy them.
The first probe team had arrived, and had by now already contacted the authorities, the local data links and was now interrogating some of the rebel leaders that had been captured by the Cultists.
Two more probe team were coming to the base soon.

OOC:I didn´t understand quite well, are the Hive units under Major Kurita on the Spartans side or not?
And Chris, did the Locusts destroy two rover units, or just two rovers?
Commander Weiss was pondering over the newest message coming from the Hive troops.
"Open a Comm. link to them"
From:Commander Weiss
To: Major Kurita
Major, do you really take me as a fool. So, you are not on your generals side?I truly hope so, because for your information, The command Nexus informed us just that Chairman Yang has given the right to attack any Hive troops in this territory, if we deem appropriate.
But I won´t attack you. Instead, for the last time, deactivate your weapons
and be ready to be inspected. This is just routine, don´t worry. We want to be sure you are truly on our side. And don´t worry about any hostiles, we will protect you from them while the inspection is carried on.
Also, the PK artillery is to be given to our hands... or rather, just shoot them. We don´t have enough patience for new prisoners, as we have dozens of others left from the bunker defenders.
(OOC:Commander Weiss was the same guy that wrote the personal logs, when Sparta attack the Hive, 60 years ago.Used to live in Janissary Rock, though he moved with his unit in War Outpost. Twenty years ago, he married an ex-Hive slave and has a family now, so he has nothing against the Hive, to the contrary

Do you really think those guys would surrender to the Spartans after seeing what you did to the prisoners you'd taken earlier on??
Think again...

OOC:Guardian, they don´t need to surrender, they can be captured too, you know Imagine eg. a PK soldier being shell shocked, stunned or wounded, or maybe some Spartans have gotten into a hand fight against PK´s, no wonder as gatling guns don´t have a endless supply of energy or bullets. Anyways, there are many ways for a soldier end up taken as a POW, and I don´t think the PK soldiers are as willing to take their own lives as easily as Spartans.Besides, there are only 20-30 POW PK´s + lots of wounded.
From: Colonel Santiago
To: Foreman Domai
You have stopped helping some of these people?Just do like this, stop helping them completely. The Hive will handle their own citizens.
It is time for your faction to "cut the cord" as the saying goes. You and the Hive are two different factions, and you have enough population to sustain yourself. You don´t need to spread propaganda to the Hive anymore, you can live your lives in peace, without being mixed into this Great War.
As for the rebels in Janissary Rock, the only thing you need to say is that you won´t "accept" them into your faction, and that this all was a setup of an enemy probe team. It doesn´t matter if they don´t belive you, it enough just to give a cloud of doubt over their hearts.
Otherwise, many more will die, before the situation is stabilised there.
And remember, I don´t blame you for any of these happenings.
Spartan Newswagon
A massive Nerve Stapling campaign beginning in Janissary Rocks
The local authorities have taken serious measures in use. Hundreds of people, even remotely close to rebel acticity, have been stapled and the lines for the Nerve stapling Chambers are indeed long.
The decision was finally made because of the sabotage of the Perimeter Defense.
This should finally end the rebellion, from which the base has suffered greatly.

In Sparta Command
They were gathering. Shadows in the night.
A hundred followers of War, the best of best, all gathered into the catacombs below Sparta Command. But not only Spartan Command, but in other bases also.
A huge vault door opened in front of them. From it came Supply rovers stocked full with equipment needed for war.
The followers organized themselves into a perfect line, moving without sound, and not saying a single word.
The priests then "blessed" them, giving sip of blood for each one to drink.
After that, one by one the followers went to pick up the equipment assigned for them.
Infantry plasma armor, heavy granades, heavy assault gatling rifles, mortars, AAA for some and other things necessary for warfare.
The Cultists didn´t even need all of this, but still obeyed their superiors by putting the heavy equipment on.
The ritual was over, not even single word spoken.
OOC: the four new Cult of War units are now operational, in the four biggest bases, except Jan.Rock.
Stats are:
Gatling/Plasma/Trance(Because their immunity to fear, and by that way even the biggest illusion spawned by mindworms doesn´t have the wanted effect on them)
AAA(Two of the new units have this ability)
From: Head Priest Brienman
To: General Von Halzburg
Greetings General. I want to inform you that you have reinforcements on the way. As you have probably heard, the Cult of War is now actively in the War effort, so we have gathered four infantry units of our very best to help. Consider them under your control.
Head Priest of the Cult of War,
George Brienman
From: General Von Halzburg
To: Head Priest Brienman
Whats there to consider? I´m a bigger authority than God for every Spartan in a 2000km radius of here. Lets see how your boyscouts are going to fare here, on the real battlefield...

OOC: OK then, I get your point, but keep in mind that the PK soldiers are getting fanatic! No, they won't take their own lives, they just won't stop fighting, even if they have lost... (i.e. instead of giving up, they'll try to take a few more Spartans with them...)
Peacekeeper defense line, near U.N. Haven City
Something was wrong... the bastard Spartans should have struck by now.
Just what the heck were they up to??
Intercepting units, northeast of U.N. Data Acquisition
The 5 rover groups were moving at full speed towards the area just north of Data Acquisition. They were charged with intercepting any hostile units breaking through the defense lines, and the Spartans had made a hole, all right... They were supposed to join up with friendly units from the Hive once they got there. That was odd, as there had been reports of the Hive teaming up with the Spartans... Could these "friendly" units be trusted?? They sure hoped so, as they needed all the help they could get, but nobody knew for sure...
According to the latest data they had received from long range sensors, they should be able to make contact within another day or so...
U.N. Enforcement Base
General Braddock stared at the situation map in front of him... Intelligence had intercepted several messages to and from the five Hive units north of U.N. Data Acquisition. They were talking to General Kane, but also to Chairman Yang and even to the Spartans! The artillery units that had retreated from the defense line had reported that they were "surrendering" to the Hive forces, but their commander had refused to explain his situation in detail. What the hell was going on?
What was Major Kurita up to??
U.N. Headquarters
Commissioner Pravin Lal was pondering something else, as he sat there studying the reports on base operations and production throughout the Peacekeeper territories. The mobilization had really gotten underway, and now every last one of his bases was building weapons of war or military support facilities. Troops were being trained. Orders were given and taken. And when they working day was done, angry mobs were in the streets crying for blood... They wanted more weapons, more troops, and they were willing to work even harder to get them...
The good society he had been trying to build was turning into a war machine.
Where did I go wrong??
North of the defense line, near U.N. Haven City
The two jets, flying out of Haven City, were doing an aerial recon just north of the lines as requested by Commander Cooke of the reserve units. At first they found nothing, but then their long range sensors picked up a large force of Spartan rovers moving at top speed. They were heading west, away from Haven City...
Peacekeeper defense line, near U.N. Haven City
Sh*t! The jokers zigged on us!!
The Spartan army was moving west at full speed, and although nobody knew where they were headed, it was clear to everyone now that these positions were not going to be attacked any time soon. They probably had second thoughts about attacking here and decided to go look for a weaker point in the line!
-And now they're half a day ahead of us!
Cooke swore and grumbled to himself. He should have thought about that. He should have anticipated this move by the Spartans once they realized how strong the defenses were in this area. Now they were heading further west, where they could find a weaker point or even a hole in the line! He would have to move quickly to catch them before it was too late!
OOC: The 10 rover units and 7 artilleries are moving out and heading west along the line at full speed to try to block the Spartans' path to the south. The Cult units are following, but they are moving slower. The newly arrived reinforcements from Planetmind are moving in to take up positions in the area these units have just left. The mindworms and spore launchers, that is. The locusts are flying west at top speed, but they're staying south of the line. Already further west are 4 mindworms, 1 spore launcher (the remaining Cult units) and 4 rover units with 20% damage (re-organized survivors from the front line who are returning to the line).
[end of OOC]

Who are the weaklings now??

OOC:Chris, I understand you want to help the PK´s, but please don´t start to draw your troops out of a magic hat. I mean, 4 GB locusts, 8 demon boils etc... whoa!
And Guardian, its time for you to give the PKs stats in the Admin section.
The Supply Freighters
A group of large rover-trucks were speeding through the desert. They had already gone past a large fungus field, a very odd site in the modern eastern continent.
Now they were poised towards resupplying the Main army and the combined army. They were driving like lunatics, not even once caring to stop. Their future was on stake here, because when General Von Halzburg gave personally a command, you will either try to follow that as well as possible or... be executed.
From: Colonel Santiago
To: General Braddock
Heh heh heh... well, you´re pissed off, aren´t you. I unfortunately cannot take the credit for that ingenious tactic of gluing POW´s on our rovers, but I´ll reward the person who invented it.(OOC:Commander Weiss)
50:1, huh? Well, now were even in rovers. They only difference is that you´re cowarding behind your defense lines and mindworms. Why don´t you come out, leave your Sopo gas, and fight a fair fight?Or maybe you just talk much, and do nothing, like the rest of your kind...
By the way, we have your old friend Clayson here, he´s not dead. Come and get him, if you have the courage...
OOC:If you have read the earlier Chiron Chronicles you´ll know the name Clayson. Commander Clayson is a legend among the Pro-War PK´s, he lead the liberation attack on War Outpost more than sixty years ago. At the final battle, he did a kamikaze with his unit against the overwhelming Spartan forces, to buy more time for the already conquered PK population to be completely evacuated.
The Spartans, however, captured him and he has been in the torturing hands of Alexandro Demeneras.Whenever he was needed, they wake him up from cryosleep and so on.
He and Braddock have been friends since planetfall.

OOC: Yes, I have read the earlier Chronicles and so I do know who Commander Clayson is. But he was lost in the battle and presumed dead. As for the Admin thread; Agreed. Been thinking about it for a while actually... I'll get to work on it...

You have Clayson still with you??
How do I know this isn't another one of your dirty tricks??
As for the "fair fight"... I'm afraid it won't happen, as we trust you less than we'd trust a bunch of scorpions and rattlesnakes.

OOC: Cyber, only one rover UNIT was destroyed. Thats all. That one locust helped disorganize the rover unit while the main force beat up the rest of them. And with helping the PKs with all of those units, two of the boils were already seen, attacking the Spartan fleet, one boil attacked the Cult fleet. And the mindworms are from ecological disruption from the Free Drones. Remember Planetmind can draw forces from all across Planet. Don't worry, those are the only reenforcements coming in a while.

OOC: Wow, Major Kurita has succeeded in confusing people :P The Main Army would get slowed down by the Fungus in the middle, unless they want to risk getting bombarded by artillery from the defence lines. (Long Range of two Squares still apply in CC, just bit less accurate) And the Reserve Units have roads behind and along the Defence Lines to move on.
Another note, game years are 10 game months seperated by the thread. We are now in our third quarter of 2181. so base your travel times on that.

From: Major Kurita
Commander, would the spartans power down their weapons if they were in our position? We will stop at several hundred kilometres from your positions and we will comply to your inspections. (OOC: Adjacent square south of the Bunker square occupied by Spartans.
Major Kurita
He then orders his three units to stop while the other two with the pk artilleries stop south-east of spartan position about 1000 kilometres away.
He orders the two units to get the pk artilleries ready. (OOC: The two red ones has merge into one unit, so two artillery units really) The three units here will prepare themselves aswell and will wait both the Pk interceptor units and the spartan inspection to arrive.

Janissary Rock
One of the Probe Team members was lost to some "Cult of War" sniper and the riots were loosing, being slaughtered and now being nerve stapled. During the whole time, the Probe Team has been recording it. They only succeeded in partially bringing down the Perimeter, but will take the Spartans awhile to fix with their crappy industry and because of the recent rebellion. The Probe Team have now left and are moving north-east away from the base. But just before they did, they sent a small data angel encrypt message to the units north of the base of the arrival of the Blockade Guardians.
North of Janissary Rock
The Battle Dragons units who are raiding the northern parts of the base received the message and they have also detected two(or was it three?) spartan units moving towards them. They have retreated back in the Upland Wastes, where the spartans doesn't have a sensor detection grid anymore.

The combined army, in the conquered bunker
At last the resupply freighters had arrived. All around the bunkers spartans were repairing salvageable rovers, either with the parts brought by the freighters or cannibalizing from the rovers that couldn´t be repaired.
Nerve gas pods were brought for everyone, not only the two rover units in the bunker.
A day or two and the job should be done…
(OOC: The two units should be repaired and upgraded soon. The other six units will go through the same.)
The Main army
After days of travel, they were finally in positions. They had met the Supply freighters, and now the whole army was upgrading its weaponry to include Nerve gas.
This should take somewhere around a day, leaving them time before the peacekeeper troops organized themselves properly on the other side of the of the line, or even noticed that the Spartans had stopped, as no peacekeeper radar could see this far. Halzburg had even ordered the interceptors to patrol around them to assure that no peacekeeper air unit would detect them again.
Near the Bunkers…
Commander Weiss sent a small squad of rovers to inspect the Hive troops. They were ordered to go through everything, including all data files, orders, communication, everything and of course, be cautious.
Meanwhile, the sensor arrays were working on full power, seeing everything for thousands of kilometers.
And the peacekeeper-intercepting units were just entering their radar area…
(OOC: Remember, the sensor array that detected the Hive units? Well, its still working.)
The northern continent
The two jets had arrived, and the colony was in building. Already the necessary buildings for life support had been set up, and an airstrip and a fueling depot for the airplanes were in building.
Also, one of the jets carried skeleton force of a plasma garrison that had secured already the surrounding area.
And a little further, up in a hill, the first above ground Temple of War was in construction…
From: Colonel Santiago
To: General Braddock
One of our tricks? Why, General, where would we be without trust?
The file coming with this message contains some video tape recordings of the last time we woke him up from cryosleep… I think it was a year ago. And don´t worry about the authentity. Even with your expert you will see that the tape hasn´t been tampered. So my offer is still valid…come and get him if you have the courage…

In Janissary Rock
The riots were over now. Dozens of riot leaders were being gathered up on the local square, and publicly executed. The Blockade Guardians patrolled in the streets, ready to open fire to any remaining hostiles.
Because of the nerve staplings, the trigger-happy people had turned into mindless drones.
Now was time to start the painful rebuilding, starting from the most important ones like the perimeter defense and the industrial facilities.
As a punishment, those who had participated in the riots were work at the rebuilding sites. And they didn´t have a damn choice, as they all were under stapling.
The members of the Cult of War dissapeared from the Janissary Rocks public eye as mysteriously as they had first appeared.
The four rover units were patrolling around the northern side of Janissary Rock, trying to find the alledged marauders. There was no trace of them, so the Spartans hid themselves into suitable ambush positions for rovers, waiting for the damn marauders to come again...
In the North pole...
Freesing winds were blowing new snow on the vastless ice sheets of the north pole.In the middle of that huge tundra of snow and ice, a small dot of warmth could be seen.
The probe team had arrived and was now setting up a small outpost. Outside it were a some rovers and next to the outpost was the huge and black form of the transport jet.
Their road back home had been cut off, as reports indicated that the airbase they had left from, layed now in ruins.
The jet might just have enough fuel to go to the new base on the north continent, but that was highly risky.
So, for now they had to survive on their own. But the mission was more important, they were here because of it.
A Couple members of the probe team carried nuclear explosives into the rovers. They were soon about to go to a journey that might change the world forever.

Dream to Planetmind... (from Commissioner Lal)
Thank you, my friend.
Your kindness towards our people will not be forgotten.
Hopefully, we shall see better times than this... together!
U.N. Enforcement Base
General Braddock sat quietly watching the video for the seventh time... there was not a shadow of doubt in his mind; that WAS Clayson! Also, intelligence experts were already pretty sure that the film was indeed about a year old and that it had not been tampered with. It seemed Santiago was telling him the truth... He had been horrified at first, thinking it wouldn't be possible to continue the struggle with the Spartans using Clayson as a hostage. They would have to give in... to negotiate... to... No, damn it! You're being feeble and weak, now snap out of it! First of all, he told himself, there is no way we can possibly negotiate with the Spartans under the current circumstances. If we held the upper hand and they knew that we could destroy them if they didn't come clean with us... perhaps then we could have negotiated... not now. It would only make us look foolish and weak, and they would laugh at us... they'd just laugh at us... and even if we did make a deal, they'd probably double-cross us and we'd be right back in this same mess before we knew what hit us... only, it would be even worse because they'd be prepared for it and we wouldn't be...
We call ourselves the Peacekeepers, but as of right now... peace isn't even an option!
It's just a dream... an illusion... something we hope to have some day...
For now, we must stay strong and keep fighting... there just is no other way...
-And what about Clayson?
They've had him for over sixty years already! There is probably very little they can do to him that they haven't done already... and besides... if they've kept him this long, they'll probably keep him a while longer, almost no matter what we do. -And even if I'm wrong about that, it really doesn't matter, because he would NOT want us to give in...
Closing his eyes, Braddock still remembered Clayson's last words as his unit charged...
"FOR FREEDOM!!!"
To: Colonel Santiago
From: General Braddock
Where would you be without trust?
I don't know... where are you?
To: General Von Halzburg, Spartan Main Army
From: General Braddock, Peacekeeping Forces
Hello General.
I guess it's about time for the two of us to be introduced to each other. I understand you used to command a "special" unit that was sent to U.N. High Commision (War Outpost) after the Spartans captured it. Did you know I had a wife and kid who used to live there?
I don't know what you think you are, but as far as I'm concerned, you're a murderer, not a soldier.
Reserve Forces, near the Defense Line
There they were, the four re-organized rover groups from the Frontal Units who were supposed to be joining them. Now there were 14 rover units with them, the 5 elite Assault Rovers + 6 Msl. Rovers and 3 Plasma Rovers. Also, the 7 artillery units were still with them and some Cult forces in the area would be joining this little party too. They didn't know exactly where the Spartans were, but the main army had gone so far back up to the north that it would take them at least a couple of days to return to the lines once they deemed themselves ready, and so Commander Cooke wasn't too worried yet. The forces under his command were taking a break for a few hours, and then they'd start taking up positions along the line to the south of the area where they thought the Spartan army should be. They had jets in the air to supplement the long range sensors on the ground, but the Spartan air force was flying a series of aggressive patrols further north, near the pre-war border, and so the PK jets were staying further south, closer to the lines. No need to risk their aircraft venturing too far to the north when they'd have almost two days' warning without that. If the Spartans tried to close and engage the PK jets, they would get a hot reception indeed, as every SAM-capable unit in this group would be in range and would definitely take a few shots at them. Cooke decided it was safe to relax for a couple of hours, but not much longer than that. The troops could even take off their protective ABC suits, but he made sure they knew to keep those ready. He still didn't trust the Spartans not to use Nerve gas... He did not trust the Spartans at all.
None of them did.

near the defence lines north of U.N. Data Acquisition
The Spartans has sent a squad of rovers to come inspect them and the PK Interceptors are just entering the Spartans radar range of the captured PK Sensor Array. He gives the go ahead to the two units with the PK Artilleries.
The Artillery units had a target lock for awhile now, so they simply started firing their missile artilleries... missiles fly towards their target, the captured sensor array. The Sensor Array quickly got destroyed by the mass bombarment while damaging/destroying any spartan units in the area. After all that, the Artillery starts firing towards the Spartan position at the defence lines.
As soon as the Artillery Unit fired their missiles, the three Hive Units quickly started moving and spread. They quickly ambushes the Spartan Inspection squad and then proceed to take on the rest of the Spartans. They to hold them off until the PK Intercepting units arrive. The othe two units will be defending the two artillery units. With the loss of the Sensor array, the spartans are almost radar blind to the Area, so the exact positions of the Hive units is not known and they won't exactly be able to know when the PK Intercepting units will be arriving. The Hive units completly took the Spartans by surprise and almost off-guard aswell.
The Plan, if the Hive Rovers cannot hold off the Spartans without having to many losses, they'll slowly retreat towards the PK Interceptors. The Artillery Units will bombarb the Spartans while two of the Hive units will be protecting them.

OOC: oh, before i forget, before you go to far cyber, i won't allow you using them to blow up the north pole Would have a global effect and I won't allow it. the Data Angel units sent to the east continent should be arriving at either Humanity Base, or Aid Station or Enforcement Base soon. And the Cyborg garrison units sent to east continent soon after that.
Note: Chiron Alliance factions exchange techs with each other, except with peacekeepers, until they beef up their Security/CounterIntelligence. Pirates acquired Silksteel and Cyberethics from the Data Angels, whom they gave Synthetic Fossil Fuel, Doctrine: Iniciative, Doctrine: Air Power and Advanced Military Algorithms, if they didn't have it. Gaians traded its Centauri Meditation for those.

Would like to mention that my Battle Dragons have secured the Upland Wastes north of Spartan territory. Chiron Sea is quiet as the Spartan Fleet are still hiding in that channel, but have Ships on both sides to keep a watch for them. My Fourth Fleet north of the Eastern Continent have detected two Aircrafts from the upland wastes, supposely from the Airbase which my Battle Dragons has found. We are assuming they were Spartan Air Transports. One moved to the northern icecap and the second westwards, probebly to that large island. The Home and First fleet are still bombarding Morganite and University coastal bases, wrecking havoc.

I want to ask if my faction can send a research team to yours to study your peoples MMI implants and have access to information of the procedures. The Nautilus Scientists are quite interested in the wonders which Neural Grafting and Mind/Machine Interface can do. I am willing to share our current research data on the tech my scientists are currently researching on, the Superstring Theory. If successful, would be able to develop a new weapon which would help the war effort against the so-called Apex Alliance.

OOC: Hey, Cyborgs would naturally have that kind of knowledge maybe not the complete techs, but mostly. And i also revealed what the Pirates are working on :P and what they want to work on after that :P

north-east of Janissary Rock, still within the base radius
The Probe Team succeeded in getting 1000km away from the base. They have located a Spartan Sensor array and have taking it over, temporally anyway.
They use it to send their recordings of the brutal slaughtering of the rioters, nerve stapling them, of the drones of Janissary Rock raising the Free Drone flag, and so on. Recordings of atrocities done by the Spartans to its own people. The Probe Team have worked on it the whole time they were travelling. They send it on all comm frequencies throughout the Spartan territory, to the Free Drones, to the Peacekeepers and to the Pirate bases in the chiron sea. They program the sensor array to repeat it, with free drone propaganda mix in to it. The Probe Team then quickly left the sensor array has the spartans will quickly come to stop it, but not without downloading the lastest sensor scan, showing where the Blockade Guardians are located. They move north to the Upland Wastes and send a send the latest data scan to the battle dragon units, using data angel encryption.
OOC: Pirates are not into framing, just use different evidence which would hint either the Free Drones, or Data Angels(which spartans dunno much about anyhow), or Peacekeepers and so on. Pirates currently have the second best intelligence/probe teams on Planet any how, with the best naval force and having the fourth best industry/production :P oh and also in the top five most advance factions :P sorry for bragging.....
Upland Wastes
Two battle dragon units move back towards the northern parts of Janissary Rock, but spread out and just outside of Spartan sensor ranges. Their intent, create shadows ghosts, useless comm chatter and playing 20th and 21th century music on all frequencies among themselves. Making a comm wracket. Since they just recently acquired the sensor scan from the probe team, they know where the spartan units are and won't be fooled into their ambushs. Its just to tempt the Spartans to come and get them and to utterly annoy them.
OOC: the battle dragons are pirates afterall :P of course, Spartans don;t know that and since spartans haven't infiltrated the Pirates yet, they don't know much of them. except for knowing that they exist, knowing the locations of half of their bases and knowing that the pirates have the biggest navy and have superioty on the sea.

You are to cooperate with each other in the next phase of our industry re-equipment. You are to supply all of your units which do not currently possess it with nerve gas this (ooc: for lack of a better word since I don't know the time scale, let's say turn). Additonally, the remaining gatling and impact units are to be upgraded to missile weaponry.

Planetneck...
Spore launchers are usually depressed. No one, except maybe Planetmind, knows why. They just are naturally saddened by everything. They are sad when they plod along the fungus, sad when they stop for firing, sad when they produce spores. But they are happy when they launch. They fire with blissful sighs (not that you can tell the difference between a happy sigh and a sad sigh). The latest theory from the Provost of the University of Planet himself is that the spores, when they are launched...tickle. He was drunk on artificially distilled vodka at the time.
The spores flew through the air, landing on the freshly built Hive bunker on the opposite side of the Planetneck. The spores started humming as they crunched through the gleaming metal. The metal was soon chewed to the core. The walls fell, the Chinese swears rose.
At the Peacekeeper side two mindworms laid low in some fungus. Soon after many bombardments, and after many rebuilds, the Hive's units would be driven out to attack the spore launcher. Until then...SIGH!

U.N. News Network
*Broadcast begins with the blue and white flag of Peacekeepers filling most of the screen. It's flying high and proud against a blue sky on a clear summer's day and it's waving gently in the wind. A fanfare is playing in the background as a somewhat agitated, yet steady and confident voice announces that this is the U.N. News Network with a special war update.*
Voice: It is a time of great strife. The Peacekeeping Forces are locked in a desperate struggle to hold back the marauding armies of the malevolent Spartan Federation.
*The flopping blue and white banner disappears and the screen goes blank for about half a moment, then comes back to show a scene from the Defense Lines, where Peacekeeping soldiers stand in their bunkers, keeping vigilant watch over the terrain in front of them.*
Voice: The future of mankind and possibly that of this entire planet could be at stake here!
*The camera sweeps over the plain in front of the Peacekeeper line, showing a landscape littered with burnt-out wrecks and twisted bodies...*
Voice: But, we are not in this struggle alone...
*The camera turns all the way around to show an army of rovers moving into positions along the line, then shifts to show mindworms lying low in between the bunkers and rover formations. A spore launcher is plodding along the line, and in the background a swarm of locusts can be seen crossing the plain. Then, suddenly, the image hops again to show the sea, with a couple of Isles of the Deep moving fast across the waves and off towards a flaming red horizon where the primary sun is setting...*
Voice: Once again, our friend the Planetmind has come to our aid in an hour of need. Some times it seems the planet values humanity higher than some of our fellow humans do.
Also, our Chiron Alliance partners of the human kind are helping out in any way they can.
*The picture shifts again to show a Pirate fleet of cruisers and foils plowing through the waves beneath the setting sun...*
Voice: The Nautilus Pirates and their powerful fleets still control the seas. After being engaged by the Pirate's Third Fleet near Fossil Field Ridge, the (*hints of a slight chuckle*) "massive" Spartan fleet decided they weren't so tough after all and retreated into a channel close to their own home bases, where they're still hiding. The Pirate Fleet has effectively sealed off this channel, and so if the Spartans try to come back out of their hidey-hole, they'll find themselves in a world of hurt! U.N. Naval Forces are also in the area, ready to take part in any action.
*The picture hops again to show a group of people hard at work on and around a small cluster of computer terminals, one of them standing up and eagerly pointing out something on one of the screens. Others are running to and from with printouts and stuff, and a few are just standing around watching.*
Voice: Meanwhile, our Cyborg and Data Angel allies are unfortunately forced to keep most of their military forces at home due to the threat posed by the University of Planet and their allies at Morgan Industries. However, both the Cyborgs and the Data Angels have also sent a few units to aid our forces in their struggle against the Spartan fascists. Also, the Data Angels are currently assisting our security forces in enhancing our data security and counter-intelligence capabilities. Hopefully, within another month or so, our datalinks should be safe enough for us to resume tech trade with our allies.
The Gaians have not actually entered to conflict yet, but they too are members of the Chiron Alliance and will join our struggle once they've had a little longer to prepare their forces.
In a surprise move just before the outbreak of hostilities, the Cult of Planet sent a large force to the Eastern Continent to assist our forces, and so they too are our allies in this struggle, even though we have little in common in political terms.
*After another hop, the screen shows Hive troops moving through the streets of U.N. Data Acquisition, heading north...*
Also, it appears some of the Hive's forces have crossed the Planetneck and joined up with our forces to help repel the Spartans north of U.N. Data Acquisition. This is also kind of surprising, as the Hive has officially decided to side with the Spartans against us. Appearantly, our General Braddock made some sort of a secret deal with the Hive in the months before the war, and their General Kane is now honoring his side of the deal in spite of Chairman Yang's last-minute decision to switch sides and team up with Santiago. -Now that is an honorable and corageous soldier if I ever heard of one!
*New scene: Planetneck. Formers are hard at work constructing bunkers and defenses on the Peacekeeper side. Planetmind's forces can be seen hanging out nearby, and in the background is a grab-bag mix of Peacekeeper and Hive units...*
At the Planetneck, our forces are hastily preparing a response to the new "aggressive" posture of the Hive's Southern Forces. Planetmind is reported to have bombarded the newly-built Hive bunkers on the opposite side, which Chairman Yang probably won't be happy about, but (*another hint of a slight chuckle*) maybe he should have thought about that before he decided to side with the Spartans!
As for the Spartans themselves, we have just received some disturbing footage from Janissary Rock, where there have been extensive riots over the past few days...
*The U.N. News Network then proceeds to show the recordings of the atrocities committed at Janissary Rock...*

(OOC: LordLMP, the Spartans aren´t blind in that area. The Msl rovers have deep radar, so they should see the incoming Hive units before they can attack. And they didn´t catch anyone unguard as the Spartans were ready for surprises, when dealing with traitors. Thats why they sent the inspection team!
Prelude to the battle of Treason …
“They are attacking us…we need backup… help!” The last thing heard from the inspection team.
“Damn bastard doublecrossers !…” Weiss was cursing angrily as he watched the data coming from the deep radars.
The Spartans quickly organized their six rover units. The four units moved to attack the incoming Hive units while Commander Weiss´s unit and the other unit, who were a little further south, moved to flank the Hivers. One unit with nerve gas was called from the bunkers as an assistance, and the Spartan artillery started bombarding the attackers.
From: Commander Weiss
To: the attacking Hive troops(OOC: directed as a propaganda towards the soldiers)
Hive soldiers, stop what you are doing and come to our side. Don´t you see how you´ve been tricked by your renegade general to come here and to abandon your home, relatives and faction forever. That will be sure if you attack us.
And why do you want to lose everything you have ever know and fought for? Because your general wants to keep his reputation, though he has lost it with this treason. So I ask you, why to fight anymore? For what? Why do you want to fight us, when you could come to our side and have the right to return back to your homes.
OOC: LordLMP, the Hivers aren´t immune to psychological warfare, even when they are commandos and elites. They are still human! And when they are under bombardment and attacked by a force twice their size, I don´t they are much high with morale .And they still have the chance to change to the Spartan side...

A pleasure to meet you too, General Braddock. Yes, I was in charge of the special unit, and I´m still in charge of it.
About your family, they were the unfortunate victims, needed to stop planetminds brutal attacks . I´ve looked in to my records, and it seems they weren’t “put to sleep” by my unit. Later on planetmind brutally attacked our bases, killing several thousand people. So, as a revenge the local garrison executed two thousand peacekeepers in War Outpost, and unfortunately your family was among those executed.
General, I´ll ask you a question. You are doing this all for revenge, aren´t you? My daughter died at the hands of planetminds mindworms in Commanders keep, so were even. And don´t start giving me that “saving the world from the evil Spartans” bullsh*t…

So you think we're even, huh?
I think not.
These "brutal attacks" by Planetmind would never have happened if you people hadn't been running around attacking everything that moved yourself!
Yes, we are - as you say - "saving the world from the evil Spartans", and if that is bullsh*t, then how come you keep proving us right every time you make a move?

OOC: Cyber, they are Hive soldiers! train in a tight nitch society, with a strong Police rating and being a Police State aswell. efficient aswell. They do operate like a hive, where the Chairman is the queen. their almost like the Cybernetic Consciousness, without the MMI implants. Maybe not completly immune, but hard to persuade Hive soldiers with propaganda, unlike their drones :P Also, they been into war with the spartans for decades! as if they'll surrender. and Hive soldiers rarely see family once they joined/conscripted into the military. Not like they have happy family lives in Hive territory. :P their almost emotionless due to strong psych training. Besides, the Spartan would be confused somewhat and sensors don't always prevent surprises. Deep Radar or not, PK Artillery still bombarding spartans and still have Pk Gatling Squads in bunker in adjacent squares too :P not allowing spartans pierce through 1500km of bunkers, 500km is enough :P
north of U.N. Data Acquisition near the Defence Lines
The Hive units quickly eliminated the spartan inspection rovers and now cautiously move towards the spartans. Major Kurita knows his units cannot take on the spartans full force, but will keep them busy until the peacekeeper reinforcements arrive. The Hive units will be mainly evading and taking snipe shots to the spartans weapons/reactors/cockpits/wheels to disable them if possible. The Hive units have the advantage of maneuverability and speed compared to the heavier armoured spartan Rovers. To avoid getting blasted by spartan artillery, they'll mix themselves up with the spartan units. if Spartan want to artillery their units while trying to get his, its fine by Kurita

I would like to offer you our techs of Advanced Military Algorithms and Doctrine: Air Power to further our trade relations and to help your faction out just incase the Hive decides to take you people on again, and maybe the Spartans aswell.
Captain Svensgaard
Upland Wastes north of Janissary Rock
While two battle dragon units continue to make comm and sensor noises at the edge of Spartans sensors, the rest splits in two groups. One will be moving westwards and the other two towards the costs. They'll then move southwards and raid spartan improvements. (sensors, mines and solar collectors) If they see Spartan units coming after them, they are to move back into the Upland wastes.

C(OOC: LordLMP, the Spartans won´t get confused because they practically expected the Hivers to duoblecross them. The deep radars won´t prewent surprises, but they sure do can show three attacking hive units, 700km away!
And yes they are Hive soldiers, trained to charge with mass against the enemy and not much else that’s why the Hive has mostly cheap low morale units, but a lot of them. 2 against 1 for the Hive now and being flanked + plus bombarded. The description you gave about the Hive soldier´s life frankly suits better the Spartans I don´t think they have such a life, especially if most of them have a not so good morale, and why the hell shouldn´t they have happy family lifes? Because they are Hive?Don´t look at things too black&white .
Besides, the traitor Hivers can probably see their current situation for themselves, “why to die for peacekeepers as we could go home and die for the Hive?”
Lord, the Hive units can try to evade and take snipes, but they don´t have much chances when the Spartans are charging with full speed and the Hivers are being flanked and bombarded.
The Battle of Treason
“F*cking bastards!” Screamed the Spartan pilot, seeing how one of the Hive rovers was trying to do a kamikaze on him. He warned his gunners, and a hail of missiles hit the incoming Hive rover straight in the cockpit.
The four Spartan units had charged the attacking Hive units. Occasionally a bombardment by the faraway peacekeeper artilleries came close, not doing much serious damage. However, the Hive units in turn had had probably enough from the bombardment coming from the nearby Spartan artilleries.
The Hive units had tried to prolong the battle for some reason by turning this into “catch the mouse that is an inch away from you” game and using their sniper skills. However, they had obviously underestimated the power of a missile, and so their maneuverability and speed was pretty much useless against a missile launcher that could rotate and target anything in 360 Degrees.
The Hivers then charged into the Spartan ranks, trying to avoid the artillery fire, which stopped immediately when the Hivers were mixed up with Spartan units.
The pilot turned the song coming from the rovers music player to full. Next to him, a Spartan rover was hit in one of the forward wheels by a gatling beam, ending its journey for now.
“Keep rollin´, rollin´, rollin´, rollin´…” the song was from another old Earth bands, called Limp Bizkit.
The Spartan rovers rolled after the retreating Hivers, shooting a constant storm of missiles at them.
The radio started suddenly screaming salutes and praises from the charging Spartans. Commander Weiss had flanked the retreating Hive units.
If Commander Weiss can´t handle the situation, then nobody on this planet can. the pilot thought with a growing feeling of victory.
The radar showed how the already mixed ragtag lines of the Hive were melting completely as two of the best Spartan units on planet hit the enemy’s side.
The battle turned soon into a deadly chase, with many Hive rovers being chased down and destroyed.
The pilot watched as his gunner targeted a Hive rover and shot two missiles straight into its back, causing the enemy rover to explode beautifully.
The Hive units were routed now, and what remained of them limped away with a hurry. Fortunate for them, the Spartans grew tired and disengaged from combat after Commander Weiss evaluated those Hive units wouldn´t be a threat anymore.
The combined army then turned quickly towards UN Data Acquisition, and started rollin´ towards the base.
Meanwhile, the two SpartanX units that left from the captured bunker were on a course to meet the combined army somewhere near UN Data Acquisition, and Commander Weiss had hinted them that they might have to use their nerve gas…
(OOC: Okay, damage report. Most units had minimal 0-20%. One unit was sent back to the bunker for repairs and upgrading, as it had over 50%.)

Chairman, we encountered some of the renegade Hive units. After trying to trick my forces, they attacked them but were fortunately repelled and routed.
I urge you, in the name of our alliance, to start your attack on the peacekeepers as fast as possible. It would be a perfect move, as the peacekeepers have gathered most of their troops here near us.Meanwhile, tehy don´t have enough forces to defend planetnecks chokepoint from a massive assualt.
Remember, your will have the western part of the conquered peacekeeper territory.

Come on, admit it. Your doing this all because of a personal vendetta. You´ve staged your own private war, and now the whole world is being dragged into it.
If you truly are a good general, don´t let personal matters cloud your judgment. A prove about your clouded judgment, is that you and your people came here. There is nothing worthwhile gaining here in this desert, except satisfying your hunger for revenge. You have become the monsters you so much hated and feared…
We prove you right? This is war, and war has no rules. If you think that we are going to play by the rules that have been made up and enforced by our worst enemies while the whole world is against us, then you are truly stupid. Open your eyes, the world isn´t black and white.
And don´t start telling me that we deserved planetminds attack, because when the damn collection of fungus attacked on civilian targets, the war was practicly over as you peacekeepers had cowardly ran to your little cozy paradise island. There was no need for planetmind to attack us anymore, atelast not civilian targets, but still she attacked.
Thank God that your family died without pain and suffering, as my daughter died a horrible death at the hands of mindworms.
I will never forgive planetmind for that, but still I am able to control myself and don´t go on crusades against windmills, as the saying goes.
Janissary Rock
The streets were quiet, the peoples rage gone. The base was slowly recovering, in the same time as the fallen pylons were slowly erected anew.
Further north, the Spartan rovers continued their ambush, but this time moved into different positions, as the enemy was obviously trying to lure them out with annoying music. (The pirates are broadcasting Britney Spears )
And of course, one unit went to destroy the sensor array that was broadcasting the recordings fo the probe team in Janissary Rock.
The rest of the Blockade Guardians moved out of the base, their mission now was to stop any further raids or attacks coming from the wastes.
(OOC: Jessus, I forgot about the Spartan fleet completely. The fleet isn´t IN the channel but near its northern entrance. BTW, if the pirates detect the Spartans, the Spartans will also detect the Pirates )
The Spartan Fleet
The fleet was getting bored.
The pirates hadn´t followed them into the channel, and now they had been waiting in these positions for months.
The ships that the deep scanners had detected a while ago were probably pirate ships, coming to see what is happening on this side.
It was time to move now, and the fleet stared picking up speed slowly intending to circle the island and attack the pirates in a surprise. If the radars detected any ships, the Spartans were to attack them immediately.
The surprise attack had to remain a surprise…
The followers of War
The four new units had already arrived in War Outpost, upgraded their weaponry with nerve gas and left towards the front lines. The trek was long for infantry units, for normal ones that is. These humans were supernatural, never even growing tired.
They had dedicated their lifes to serving the God of War, and with his blessing had become the true masters of War.
The Cultists were exceptionally good in stealth, blending completely into the surrounding environment. So, even the stronger radars had problems detecting them.
Their mission was to attack the defense lines near UN Haven City, while most of the Peacekeeper army was after the Spartan Main army and creating a bloody havoc.
They didn’t even fear the mindworms stationed there and the pitiful illusions they created. To the contrary, the Cultists waited to rip the bastard worms into pieces.
(OOC: Okay okay, I know +100% and trance is a little over the top, but the downside is that training new cultists takes literally years.
The thing with trance is that first, the cultists are practically immune to fear and second, the meditation they have to practice constantly puts them into a hypnotic trance, for the purpose of dampening any emotions on the battlefield. I don´t consider this as an extra ability, but as a part of them, like with the artillery.
Simply put, the Cultists of War are all cold-blooded killing machines, who have no emotions at all.

Sir, we are sending you a vast collection of technology, a gracious gift by the University. With this technology, we can now complete our industrial automation. Also, with the help of the Field Modulation, we have a better armor design available for our troops to use.
Deep within the dungeons of Sparta Command
Two scientists watched the slowly opening cryochamber.
“Are the modifications successful?” One of the scientists asked the other.
“” I´m not sure. We´ll have to make a few more tests before anything can be said in certainty. If they aren´t working, a lot years have been wasted…””
As the cryochamber´s hatch opened, it revealed the cold body of commander Clayson.
Robot Assistants lifted Clayson from the cryochamber and put him on a surgery table.
The scientist went to a nearby computer, and punched something into it.
The computers monitor showed the whole picture about what had been done to Clayson.
Miniature devices had been implanted near his every major organ and nearly half of his brains were missing, replaced by what seemed to be a sophisticated computer. His skin was artificially enchanced, synthfibers went through his every muscle, he could breath outside without a mask and his bones were pure plasma steel. He was not human anymore.
Green lights flashed on the monitor, indicating that the new enhancements were working.
“”Okay, everything seems in order. Lets get these tests out of the way…””
The scientist started working with the computer while the other one went next to Clayson´s body, getting ready for an operation.

In Data Acquisition…
Everything was ready. The bombs had been placed, most in random places all around the base. Most but not all, as the northern part of the perimeter defense had been rigged and ready to explode.
One of the probe team members was watching the scenery from an abandoned apartment building, the depressing staleness of UN Data Acquisition opening before him. Somehow he had always imagined peacekeeper bases different, alive. But this resembled more the Spartan style, particularly Survival base, where he had been born.
In his hand he held the remote control needed to activate the bombs.
He pushed the button without hesitation. For a second, nothing happened.
Then it started. Bright explosions lighted up the base, and the northern perimeter pylons fell down, not away from the base but on it, destroying the nearby buildings completely.
Next in turn were a part of the local garrison, the police station, the local forum, the administrative center and other important places.
Bright flashes lit the base once again, and occasional screams could be heard. The spy went inside and next to a collection of sophisticated equipment.
He punched a few buttons on a keyboard, and a pre-recorded message was transmitted…
On all peacekeeper frequencies, including UN Data Acquisition TV and Radio Channels.
People, enough is enough! The Pro-War politicians have lied to us enough! The Spartans are outside the walls bombarding us and now the walls have fallen down, even when the politicians promised that would never happen!
And how are they going to enforce their promises!? They asked the Hive, the nowadays allies of the Spartans, to help them by bribing the Hive with technology and money! And they even dared to buy the Cult on their side, a faction that is dedicated to annihilate all human life on this planet!
But I ask them, why!? Why do we have to stand this!? Why do we have to work our lives away supporting an army that lies to us constantly!?What have we turned into? Are we truly better than the Spartans?
People, rise and fight against this tyranny, into which this government of ours has turned!
Join the rebellion!
We don´t have to stand this anymore…
End of Message
The people here were either so stupid, desperate or afraid of the Spartans, that it was only matter for someone to light the match and throw it into a pond of gasoline.
The spy smiled and took out his shredder, loading and readying it. He was the only one left of his team here in this base. The only thing he had to do now was destroy the equipment around him, and get out of the base alive.
Around the base, the people heard the message, the ones who hadn’t been evacuated. Angry mobs started to gather around the base and as the police arrived, bloody mock fights started. They were sick of promises and guarantees, and they didn´t want to do anymore work to keep up the very expensive army that wasn´t even capable defending them. Or atleast, this was how they viewed their hopeless situation.
As the angry protesters overwhelmed the police troops, the local garrisons intervened. Soldier, all carrying deadly weapons, lined up in the streets and occasionally shooting over the heads of the protesters. This only angered the people even more and soon the gathering mobs were openly attacking the soldiers, charging into their lines and throwing them with everything possible.
Massive riots flared everywhere around the base, with some of the groups organizing and using the weapons robbed from the local armory which had been raided. Even some soldiers from the local garrison joined the rebels.
The whole peacekeeper base was in flames at the worst time possible, as the Spartan combined army would have been just detected entering the bases radars if only the radars could have worked, but instead they were in thousand pieces, smashed by a Spartan bomb.

OOC: For crying out loud Cyber! your so stereotypical of Hive, geez. Kane's Hive Units = Not normal Hivers. And PK Artillery are still shooting at Spartans!! And stop with SPARTAN SURPRISES WORKS all the time, not the other FACTIONS against them. Gatling Lasers can rotate to you know, but not 360, neither can missile launchers, unless you put them on top of of the rovers, on top of the cockpit, which would be a lot easier to disable. PK interceptors should reach the spartans before they get to Data Acquisiton. Another thing, Cult of War units will not be able to pierced right through and won't alow to much of super units. I will alow them only to ELITE with Trance. As already mentioned in the Rules, Ultra-Elite cannot be trained, especially Super-Elite. can only get that in extreme circumstances. Cult of War may train their people to the extremes, but thats training still. Rovers can easily run them over. And they don't get a stealth bonus, as they cannot gain more than one ability until neural graft and no stealth until the apporopriate tech. Probe Teams are a small group, Infantry units are a Regiment full, easier to detect. The Cult of War didn't have YEARS to trained, as the Cult was only formed early 2180?
Industrial Automation doesn't give a huge burst in Industrial production either. does improve it, but cannot instantly make new units in few months, especially the bad Industrial rating still, which ain't nullified. And Spartan Fleet cannot surprise Pirate Fleet, as they are still superior in Navy, with Cruisers and Marinetime Control Center. They live in the sea! they are more experts Navaly than Spartans. Sorry for this, I just woke up and simply annoyed.
north of data Acquisition
Major Kurita survived the engagement. Out of the Three Units engaged the Spartans, about 1.2 units was left, mostly of his Elite. The other two and the artilleries haven't been attacked, yet still bombarding the Spartans and the Spartan units moving southwards. His units retreating toward the other two. They encountered a few disabled spartan rovers, in which his troops finished off.

Can we use upgrade our two Hive Rovers near Humanity Base and the rest afterwards with your peacekeepers latest weaponry and armor? I am sure that rest of Hive is upgrading their units with technologies giving from the spartans.
General Kane

Upland Wastes and norther parts of Spartan territory
The two Battle Dragon unit groups are now moving southwards to raid various mines, solar collectors and sensor arrays while the middle group push a bit further into the Janissary Rock radius to attract the Spartans. Once they are coming, they'll go back into the wastes, just outside of Spartan sensor range.
Chiron Sea
The Pirate ships are still waiting for the spartans to come out. The Northern Group have detected some of them at the northern channel. Admiral Proudmoore doesn't mind waiting, but does wish he had Needlejets available to him to recon the spartans thought. The half of the Reinforments Svensgaard promised as arrived via the Great Northern Sea while the rest will be coming via Peacekeeper waters.
**********
Foreman Domai was bit surprise that the Svensgaard would give him more technology, but does understand why. It ain't because the pirates want to stay on Free Drones good side, but doesn't want to see his faction fall to the Hive and even Spartans maybe. He has ordered his garrisons and other units to be upgraded with abilities provided from Advanced Military Algorithms while he ordered a Prototype of a Needlejet and a Interceptor. If they are successful, the Free Drones will be mass producing them for sure.

You are to begin your bombardment of the alliance forces across the planetneck. Use of nerve gas is authorized
The planetneck:
Hive garrisson troops were spread along the planetneck in special locations. They had anti-rover rocket launchers at the ready, and were arranged in a pattern to provide supporting fire to each other. The missile artillery units were also spread out, as they poured nerve gas shells across the planetneck, and waited to see the reaction. Meanwhile, the gatling rovers were getting ready.
ooc: No one answered my questions in the admin thread. Additionally, I was thinking about writing some short summaries about the Hive's social, political, and military structure, but I'm not sure which thread they go in.
