Unable to allocate Draw Buffer Terminating Program
Whenever I try to play the game, it will end up saying "Unable to Allocate..." then quits. Of course, I don't know what to do, so any help would be appreciated.
My system Specs are:
Win98
AMD K6-2 350MHz w/ 384MB RAM
3d Prophet 4000XT (I'd say this is the problem)
My sound card doesn't work, so N/A
I have updates for AC, my video card, and directX9

Nah, I just tried that (both of them), but it didn't work.
I ran IP.exe, and it says that my video card isn't compatible with DirectX. Mind you, I have known that for a while, and don't think it matters.

I remember this happening but unfortunately I don't remember why. It was not a permanent problem like yours however. Are you trying SMAC or SMAX?

If you go to Google Groups and search on the error message
Unable to allocate Draw Buffer Terminating Program
you get several hits that may be relevant. Some users were getting this error message in Civ III, so the suggestions that helped them may work for you.

Ok, I figured out what I have to do.
I have to install it manually.
So, who knows how to do this?
