that's news to me. Somebody, hopefully FiGu can outline a plan with Colwyn. I really need to know things like this since I'm the Marshal and I usually airlift units to the fronts from the rear. I need to know about airports being used

I read it in some thread (don't remember which one) where they said they were going to fly them in from Smolensk. It is the fastest way to get them there.

8 German infantry and 2 Stug 3 along with one Stuka was destroyed outside Rostov. I've reinforced the garrison in Kotelnikovo with 1 kv-1 and 1 AA.

How is the defence of Stalingrad?
It looked a little thin to me last time I checked.

well, at least there's two kv-1's and one t-34 there, the other units that are defending it are either AA/Aircrafts/infantrys.
But ill send more units there when they are needed.

Koltenkivo has been taken, but the city population is only 2. May I suggest capturing the town, but then retreating to allow the Nazi's to retake and destroy the town. That way you can slaughter troops crossing the pontoon bridge in the open.

I think it would be better to try to hold the city. It acts as a ZoC bottleneck and a sentinal guarding passage into the caucases.

All depends of the number of troops that can be scraped together. If we can get enough troops, I would say try to kep it, but I don't want to risk the defence of Stalingrad just to keep a minor city as Kotelnikovo

I think you should look at your production in Stalingrad and Astrakhan, they are producing KV-1s (takes 2 turns), but they could build a Shturmovik or Katyuska in only 1 turn.

Also, there are two labor brigades east of Stalingrad building industry on a square that isn't in the range of any city. Are you going to found a new city that will use this industry?

Once I get a plane, I will bring them! Very good job, comrade!
As for the La-5 in Krasnodar, I already posted several times it was there, but there was never a reaction, so I thought it had some purpose.

Victory is now really ours!
93 units destroyed!!!
Report of General Patiskov.
"By 15th August I got an intelligence report of the Marshal, which said that heavy german troops formations were near the city Zaporozhye.
By 16th I ordered a rested Sturmovik Air division from Perekop, which was under Colonel. Sergei Vladimir,
to Search and Destroy the german units.
After about 10 hours, the Sturmoviks returned to our lines.. but about 15 sturmoviks returned of 100.
Here was the report of the Commander :
"We flyied over the city, and after a while we meet a lot of german units, Flaks, and everything! We began attacking the german units and got them on the run!"
I sended my tank corps to gain as much as prisoners as possible. and we gained about 200 000 german prisoners! the commander of the german said that there were 34.5 division(69 units) in this area.
They suffered heavy casualties and a estimated 50 000 german soldiers lost their lives..
Our losses were only 200 soldiers..
I ordered in Rostov to launch counter-attacks against the units outside the city, all got destroyed, the same happened in Stalingrad."
For the MotherLand!

If I bring it by foot,
a. there won't be many bottles
b. they will be empty when I arrive at your front
I just want a personal plane, is that so difficult? OK, I would even be happy with a personal train, but I just can't get one As long as I don't get a plane or a train, you will have to wait for your vodka (so you could wait till the end of time )

Check that same spot after you have moved everything else... it is a german spawning point and it will ease up things greatly if you manage to kill all the spawners there at the end of your turn...

Nope, there spawns only 8 units per turn, the germans had put all their units in one stack.

That point (SE of Zaporozhye, on 51:129, I think) is where some of the german units are recreated when killed in Summer!
So, by any means, be sure it's the LAST point you attack, so that you kill at the same time a lot of "new-reborn" units!
That's what I do in my sp game, and stacks over 50 are quite common!

i once had to attack twice to kill all units!!!!!
one attack left two units alive, having killed i think 60 units (it was a round number)

I think that what happened then is that some units were recreated, because (if not in a fortress), either ALL or no units will be destroyed!
But then the destruction might trigger a recreation in the same square!
And I don't think there is an upper limit to how many you can kill in one hit (except the maximum number of units in the game minus 1 ), as I once killed 96 germans at once! That was sweet...

hmm.... must have been that.....
i think that the game creates t-38 and Wher. when higher type units are killed, but not when these are killed, but in the stack thee were two non-spawned tanks or something which did spawn more units...
the fact that i had killed a round amount of units led me off...
