Hmmm... I don't think it sucks... sounds kind of interesting actually...
If you start writing the story and you make it good , you'll probably get more people interested as the thing unfolds.
Good luck to you!

Alynzia:
Sounds like a great idea for a plot line that would let you write about every faction from a different than heretofore perspective (focusing more on the social/economic aspects of the futuristic societies from a research scientist perspective rather than the military we're so accustumed to).
(Of course, you could also add the element of Miriam, in self righteous indignation, trying to hunt down these "abominations" too to exterminate them for the benefit of all humankind - so the race is on between Miriam and Zak to find them)
Anyway, sounds like a good source of ideas to mine (maybe Zak also brought the genetic maps of some great generals - Alex the Great, Caesar, Napoleon, Patton, Rommel - and they escape and Sparta is hunting them for the Colonel's own nefarious ends ..... naw, the researcher angle is enough to fill a good sized novel)
So, get started, your readers await.

In case anyone was wondering, I am actually a complete retard. That rover stuff is really messed up. I should have removed my brain from its tank BEFORE starting my story. People don't live on the rovers they just make short excursions out in them, they're only military vechicles, possibly with a crew of five. I was kind of imagining they were like shuttles from Star Trek because you might spends weeks out exploring. But being really small I guess it's just like travelling in a van or something, with supplies being sent from the supporting base. I am so incredibly stupid, I can only apologise for putting this trash on an otherwise cool forum. This has sufficiently chastised me, and I think I'll leave A.C. fiction to the people who actually know what they're talking about!

Excuse me, but what the hell are you talking about now??
This is FICTION!!!
-Which means if you don't "know what you're talking about", you make something up!
There's no way all the different stories in here could ever possibly fit together anyway, so you can pretty much make your story into whatever the heck you think it should be like.
Besides, just because some rovers are smaller, that doesn't make it some sort of universal law or something.
If I showed you a car, would you run off saying "I'm an idiot for thinking we could ever possibly build buses" ??

I agree with Guardian. And if you look at the game one must assume that some people are forced to spend a great deal amount of time in rovers unless they are at bases or bunkers.
Please, keep up the good work.

Bumping a dead thread, not very good, but just a little message about what I have done with my story.
The story was getting boring so I took it forward to when the children get dispersed. I hope nobody minds. I deleted the old stuff because... I felt like it.
Nobody is interested in my life but in a few days I will be free of Norwich City College forever and so will be able to put some more story on later, just tell me how much is boring.
In the meantime, thank you for reading. This is kind of AC-based fiction rather playing in with the game, but you'd not deny me my little children would you ?
On to the truth, I wanted to bring my story forward so I could play with my military children, they're so cool. I am going to have the ones Googlie suggested plus Montgomery, 'cos I've got to get a Brit in there .
(Oh, and Napoleon's childhood nickname is Nano-poleon, it is bound to give him a psychological complex of sorts)
Alynzia.
