I've seen Transporter.. I thought it started pretty good, so I was excited about it. I mean like the first 20 minutes or so. But then suddenly it started to suck so bad I was almost crying. I got angry.

Sci-fi and horror are the 2 worst genre.
Most movie directors and screen writers don't understand science, sadly.

I had exactly the same feelings. That intial car chase gave it promise... but it slowly went to hell after that.
Each line got worse and worse, until the last bit of dialogue...
*weepy chinese girl voice*
"he was a bastad.... but he was my fatha..."
The people in the theatre actually started laughing at the film at this point.

Sci-fi and Horror are my two favourite genres.
Do you mean they are the hardest to pull off, or you just hate horror and science fiction?

Oh yeah Battlefield Earth that was pretty bad.
Cider House Rules has to have been the most depressing movie ever.

It is extremely difficult to make a good horror movie, while it is very easy to make a bad one. Just look at all the Friday the Thirteen ones, Scream (all three of them), and Urban Legend (I suppose you could classify the last 4 as thrillers, since there isn't anything supernatural involved. However, the dividing line is rather blurry.) You get a masked killer to chase after a helpless woman, who will inevitably get brutalised, while playing some awful "mood enhancing" music. If not that, come up with some gory and ugly "thing," and let it run around killing people. It's so boring, it's so stock.

To me, it's not the depressing part the got to me. It's the utterly contrived script. It's so heavyhanded, with events just heaped on top of each other.
Such a bad waste of my time.

The worst film I have seen in a long time was the recent "Identity". Ugh, how utterly contrived and dreadful.

Identity was EXCELLENT until about 3/4 of the way through when they just completely changed the plot and then it just totally SUCKED.
It had excellent potential to be a classic.

My daughters brought the Good Girl home from the video store a few weeks ago. Friends movies suck as a rule, but Jennifer Aniston made a big mistake getting in this one. I had to leave the room after 20 minutes, and my daughters ejected the tape ten minutes after that. We never do that, we watch plenty of sucky movies, but this was just unbearably pathetic without any chance to find a hero to root for. You just wanted all the characters to shut up and die.

Office Space was the one exception. That had Jennifer Aniston in it.

I should have said that they are tough to pull off. That's also why these genres are more likely to generate "worst" movies.

"Contact". I hate that movie. I simply detest it.
Annoying so much, I kept muttering "why the **** should I care" for most of the movie.

The only two movies I ever walked out on (and this was in a dollar theater):
Robot Jocks
Sleepwalkers
Two dollars I wish I had back...
