Yep, according to CET it just went up (1 hour later from GMT) . Waiting all day, downloading it right now. Thx Solver for the info, you were right. It came available only days after Fileplanet.

Quite nice, downloading it now for installation later, just to compare with the betas.
They just HAD to put it up late in the evening American time, so that Euros get it on Tuesday .

Hmm, the game doesn't even care to modifications done in rise.ini and rise2.ini and refuses to take any of those sound/graphics settings into account.

AHHRG, ive fallen in love with RON in two hours. I have just finished playing a 4 player battle. Like many, on first glance i was dissapointed. However when you really get the hang of it, it doesn't fail to please, in fact it rules. The borders are brilliant, the whole taking of cities idea is brilliant. The only part i found challenging was managing the whole empire, especially when I had aqquired 8-10 cities. Overall, an extremely enjoyable expirience.

yep the game is brilliant, the atmosphere of everything, sound, colours, the flow of the game, the voice overs, everything, fits the mood of civ-building perfectly, well done, didn't think there was anyone out there who could pull it off.
Brian Reynolds is the civ-king now.

So? That's only about 5 Mbit/s, that's not much. The fastest ADSL provider in my neighbourhood offers up to 8 Mbit/s. And on my uni all students who live on campus have a 300 Mbit/s connection (backbone is currently 2.5 Gbit/s, with plans to upgrade to 10 Gbit/s), which could theoretically download the demo in about 5 seconds. Obviously, the bottleneck there tends to be the server

I downloaded it in 6 minutes
I think alva has the same (cable) ISP as me (Telenet); they force us to surf through a proxy server and if a Telenet user recently downloaded a large file it is put in the proxy cache so that every other Telenet user can download it much faster... atleast, that's how I think it works

Yep, telenet
You don't have to use a proxy though August, in fact it's better not to.
I was stupid enough to click cancel by accident when the DL reached 99% though
Telenet isn't the best one to play on-line (rather slow upload and alot of closed ports (?), but for downloading it is .
