The name says it all I guess. Please keep in mind that a base can at maximum have 23 characters.
Land base names:
Names that have been accepted and can be used when an appropriate occassion turns up:
/usr/bin/EvilPlan (Planet Buster building base)
Silicon Valley
Mainframe Mines
And/Or Gate
Network Junction
Akiria
Cyborg Citadel
Names that got enough votes to be included in the next base name poll:
None at the moment
Names that were impopular in the previous poll and shouldn't be included in base name polls in the near future:
Pride in Numbers
Temple of Tron
NodeRunner
Byte City
Recursive Nirvana
The Tower of Googlie (at top of mountain)
TheUoPSucks (captured UoP base)
Archaic Aftermath (captured UoP base)
Kaapstad (base on south tip)
Binary Bastion
Tassagrad (on slope below The Tower of Googlie)
Lemmington

Names that were already polled once a long time ago (and lost). Those polled longest ago are first on the list:
Data Base
Binary Borough
Logic Pathways
The Hive Mind
Collective Consciousness
Serenity Hall
Collective Mind
The Consciousness
Hal's Haven
AI Farms
The Algorithm
Terminal City
The Matrix

The Heap
The Stack
Gamma Ceti Ceti
Gamma Delta Beta
Deirdre's Network Node
Deirdre's Nodes

Lal's Lobotomy
Efficiency Edifice
Names that (IIRC) have never been included in a poll up until now:
Server Farm
Token Ring
Wired Village
Circuit City
Backbone Base
Annual Update
Conciousness Collective
CyberCore
Names that exceed the maximum number of 23 characters and thus can't be used:
Interface Connection Alpha
The Collective Conurbation
Collective Conglomeration
Full-technology integration experiment (base where we begin our first experiments in complete cybernetic integration into the government)
Sea base names:
Underwater Collective
Omega Watch
Gamma Breakwater
Alpha Basin
Delta Trench
Data Banks
Athena Anchorage
Drifting Data
Function Faire
Landmarks:
Dell River
Microsoft Peak
Gateway Bay
Sony Plateau
Philips Forest

A few more ideas:
Apolyton Prime (for capital)
Akiria/Akiris (it was actually named after Akizeta in the first place)
Aurora
Zetaris/Zetaria (again named after Akizeta)
Pride in Numbers (after all our names)
Underwater Collective (for sea base)

yes, you see, in the DBTSverse, the laws of everything don't apply, and rabid bunnies hop about to ward off intruders. have you ever heard the term DBTS logic? well, that's the only kind that applies in the DBTSverse

Are you sure DBTS is male? That sounds suspiciouslylike female logic
EDIT (using evil bug ): yes, DBTS posted a picture of him with his gf in CGN's IRC.

I think we need a poll tomorrow for the name of the capital, and one other base. I'll post it, or Maniac can, but wait to get some more options from the others first.

For a few of the landmarks around your bases why not:
Dell River
Microsoft Peak
Gateway Bay
Sony Plateau
etc
(Sorry they are all American - I can't think offhand of any European equivalents right now)

Let's have a look what landmarks we have around us before we name them I think. Nice ideas though.

Bah. As you might guess, I don't really like having names of American corporations as landmarks.
What about:
Philips Forest
Linux Lawn? (or something else beginning with "L")

Well, would cyborgs need OSs in the same way. I would have things like:
Digital Desert
Forest of Logic
However, it would only be logical to name landmarks so that they are easily remembered, rather than on pure whim or fancy. If it does not serve a purpose, it is illogical
But since it does, carry on

We also have a river and a mountain (or ridge, can't see the other side yet) to name. Any ideas?
For the mountain, I thought "The Height of Logic"

Oh, it's a lake! Thanks for the suggestions btw - I like Loch Linux.
Another suggestion for a mountain: Ben Byte

i like some of the default sea base names:
Gamma Breakwater
Alpha Basin
Delta Trench (though possibly for some ocean trench )
Eta Ridge (ripped off from default base names - works for pholus ridge though)
(no, the following aren't ripped off from a newtork node custom faction )
Serenity Hall
Collective Mind
Collective Conciousness

Drogue, is it Zetaria or Zetaris, and Akiria or Akiris you want in a next poll? Or should all four be included?

Not all 4, because that will split votes too much IMHO, which of the 2 in each set do you think is better? I would go for Akiria and Zetaris, but then I am a little biased Pick one of each (preferably with different suffixes).

Ahh, base/landmark suggestions, time for the corny CS jokes
For a mineral intensive base, or maybe the crater:
Core Dump
If there were fault lines or that unused valley landmark:
Segmentation Fault (if too long: Seg Fault)
Two bases on opposite ends of our colony:
The Heap
and
The Stack
Any ol' base:
Gamma Ceti Ceti
Gamma Delta Beta
Recursive Nirvana
/usr/bin/EvilPlan
TheUOPSucks ( , j/k )
Non-CS-joke base names:
DBTSverse Portal (It was suggested, but I must suggest it again!)
Deidre's Network Node (probably too long, shorten to Deidre's Node?)

They're all good, but these 2 especially EvilPlan will have to be used, as a big production base in case we want a couple of PBs, just in case The UoPSucks should be the first captured UoP base (and there will be many of those )

Just checking to be sure : Are these names just jokes, or should I include "TheUoPSucks", "Deirdre's Nodes", "Yang's Yang" to the list.
In any case. I suggest "Archaic Aftermath" as another captured UoP base name.

Maniac: The UoP ones are for captured bases, so not yet. I would say no ATM. Archaic's Aftermath gets my vote for a captures UoP base. Hive ones, Yang's Yang and Yang's Ying seem great
