This seems like this movie has already been made, released, flopped and never heard of again. Is this a joke? It got a couple of bad reviews, but I still wouldnt mind seeing it.
Some of you have been discussing casting of particular characters. The only people here who are dreadfully miscast are Santiago and Morgan. Pria Lal? Just as I imagined her from the books. And Jodie Forster as Miriam... odd but I can see how it would work.
Can anyone give me an indication where I might be able to get my hands on this?
This site is a database for the simulation game Film-Mogul. None of the films are real, and none of the people are really represented by the people listed. Again, this is a GAME.
Methinks I did too. 'cept not ignore... just didnt see it.
Thanks for setting me straight GeneralTacticus
That movie sounded like a poor effort anyway.
I like all three of Michael Ely's books based on SMAC. Actually, it sounds like I like them a great deal more than some of the posters around here. My favourite is Twilight of the Mind, but, then again, I play as Believers in the game, so I have a biased view
AC - they have their moments, particularly in Book 2 in my opinion. But, on the whole, I was sorely disappointed. Book 1 was OK, the ancient Spartan metaphors were cumbersome and didn't make sense to me, and Santiago was a limp-wristed weenie in the end. I HATED book 3 (see the Ely book thread for details). None of the factions rang true in Book 3 for me, except for the simpering idiot Lal (and even then for the wrong reasons).
If you can get them in a used book store they might be worth it. I gave mine away, and the lucky recipient (another SMAC devotee) didn't like them either.
