I am greatly angered that you didn't put my favorite show that nobody watches but me on the poll. This is a moral outrage!

Simpsons or South Park?
No, I will not humor you fans of random cartoon shows by putting them on the poll. This is the battle of the best of the best. The two best animated shows, one on one.
Let the war begin!
Simpsons!

Simpsons hasn't had a single decent episode since South Park came out. South Park, no contest.

Dead heat, 2 to 2. But I believe in my heart that the Simpsons shall rule all.

This was a tough one since I like both, but I like the biting humor of South Park and the creator's going after political sacred cows. The Simpsons are basicly an animated Married With Children with a "look at Homer, he's so stupid" theme (still funny though).

Tough call. Historically, it's Simpsons, but comparing current episodes, it's South Park by a mile.
Family Guy!

I have to go with Family guy too. Even Futurama is better than the Simpsons are now. South park is good, used to be excellent when I first saw it, now the shock humor doesn't carry that much weight anymore. I admit I haven't seen SP for a long time thought, stopped watching it before the 5th season. They must be at 8th or something like that now?

I agree with Stefu... the Simpsons used to be good. Ironically, about the time South Park was created, Simpsons started to suck.

Simpsons used to be funny.
South Park isn't as good as it was but is still funnier than Simpsons.
Futurama & Family Guy are better than both the above

Simpsons is still the king. Only one episode of South Park I have seen is even close: the one with the chilli cook-up... Other than that, the Simpsons

In spurts, SP is better, but it too has gotten stale. A stale Simpsons beats a stale SP. Overall, Simpsons rules. There has been some improvement in the Simpsons this season.

I think too many people are trying to relive the glory of Simpsons' past. It's been bad since before South Park was even created. And even at it's height, it still didn't match the sheer hilarity of SP. But it's a different kind of humor. Some people will just enjoy SP more, some will enjoy Simpsons better.
my 2 cents

Simpsons. Not that South Park isn't good. It has moments of sheer brilliant greatness. But overall, the Simpsons still wins.

The Simpsons' 300th ( read 302nd ) episode was a case in point in just how unfunny the Simpsons has become. A total waste of 25mins of my life actually waiting to find one of the "jokes" funny.
Can't believe they cancelled Futurama whilst continuing to make the Simpsons. *sigh*

I stopped watching Simpsons from telly after that horrible horrible episode where that judge tethers Homer to Bart. From what I've seen from downloading episodes from the Internet, it didn't get much better afterwards, either. Exceptions: The marijuana episode and the internet cartooning episode - marijuana episode was good and internet cartooning episode was brilliant, especially with the digs at "kids' cartoons that's also suitable for adults" ("I've got a date with *Sarah* *Jessica* *Barker*!")

True enough, the Simpson's can't reach its previous heights of glory. It's still frequently amusing, but it's not the show it was, say, seasons 2-7.
On the other hand, South Park had about one half of one good season. Once the novelty of seeing little kids spout obscenity wore off, the show stopped being funny for me.
I know not what others may say, but as for me, Simpsons!

I thought the Marge Big Boobs episode was hilarious. Equal to many earlier season episodes.

For all the artistic talent in South Park, it may as well be a radio show. Definitely some good satire, but I can't condone the animation.
Simpsons, all the way.

They weren't that big and it continued a very hurtful stereotype that a woman with anything bigger than a D is some kind of freak.

South Park, though it's started sinking into the same trap that the Simpson's fell in, where it spends more time poking fun at itself than poking fun at something worth mocking. "Lol, Rupert Murdock sure is rich!" "Rofl, Fox sure does suck as a network!" "Roflmao, we already had this alien episode before, we're starting to repeat ourselves!" Yeah, ****ing hilarious.

I did like them making fun of the reality show promo's scrolling across the bottom of the screen. For a sec, I thought it was a real promo till Homer reached out and ate it.
And some of that making fun of themselves can be funny if used sparingly and not over done. Like the end of the cult mind control episode where they're sitting down watching tv afterwards saying how happy they were to be able to think for themselves again..... while watching fox. It didn't need for them to chant Fox, just showing them watching it would have been good enough.

Used sparingly, those can be some of their best jokes. I'll never forget the time that Homer says "Oh Lisa [or maybe it was Bart? Whatever], cartoons don't have to make sense," at which point another Homer walks past the window. I was in tears.
Overdone, it sucks, and it sucks hard.
