Civ 3 Railroads
Is there anyway to modify Civ3 so that railroads are not infinite movement? I find this to be a severe problem in late game multiplayer and me and my friend would like to play the game how it used to be with railroads = 1/9 a movement. Its just too lame to be able to transfer your whole military across the continent, and makes sneaky transport landing practically worthless....

No
I would rather have the ability to add a terrain improvement that is like a road with a different movement multiplier

YuMMz , I think RR works that way to slow down conquest. You just have to plan your invasions in a different manner.
Have you played civ2? There you could use your enemys RR, AND units dropped from transport could attack the same turn. That made defending a long coastline almost impossible.

I think the rail roads are cool since they allow a unit to travel around the world for like 60000000000000000 times in a single turn which in the long run becomes intresting in the matter of Einstein's theory of relativity

RRs could do with some serious tweaking indeed, one of my favourite scenarios from Civ II was WW2 ones. can't happen in Civ III with RRs as they are at present.

RR are the single worst aspect of this game and the time I start to loose interest in a game whether I'm winning or loosing. The whole strategy thing becomes a laugh, not more getting punished for mistakes, risks, nothing.
End RR now !!

Yes, it would be nice to be able to mod them.

RRs in Civ II work like Civ III, what's worse, you could use the enemy RR.
RR is fine.
