Conmcb: I agree with your change to #2. If the corrections are accepted, I'll agree. Unfortunately I accidentally voted no in this poll But I don't think it would have made a difference, looking at the numbers
I think I may be the first to fall victim to Section 2 of my proposal

H?
I agree to bring these amendments to the floor somehow whether they should be added or voted on separately or whatever you think is best.
There is the one issue that you did not agree on the who should remove the Marshall question.
Your comment

I still maintain that it should be only the Politburo who can remove the marshal, a popular referendum I can deal with too.
|
I guess you are against STAVKA removal of the Marshall but your front commanders aren't buying it, well at least one isn't.
Your decision on this one you know my very existance is too only serve your every need......

I was responding directly to Anzac's first post about his proposal's but have not had time to think much about the changes made to the stavka part of it. A unanimous decision by stavka is acceptable I guess. But I'm still not happy about it.
These amendments need to be voted on seperately since people have not been voting based upon these.

I believe the Politburo should be the only one that can remove the Marshal. I can't imagine the Front Commanders deciding on whether or not to keep the current Marshal. Plus, I think the Politburo needs some powers that are unique to them.
Oh, and Xenozod for Chief of NKVD...and more campaign...stuff.

I'm away for the night, and suddenly everything goes up in flames! Shame on you!
No, seriously, I think STAVKA shouldn't be able to vote against a Marshal, for he is their boss. They should however be able to make a sort of vote of no-confidence, and send this to the Politburo, who then decides wether or not to fire the Marshal! The Politburo will take notice of this vote, and probably rely upon it but there is no obligation to fire the Marshal after this vote (this makes that the vote should be anonimous, for the Marshal CAN fire Front Commanders)
I think that the Politburo will be here to discuss general matters, and have fun on this forum, and will less interfere with the real game. The front commanders and the Marshal are the ones playing, and we are discussing general matters, and playing our roles (which is a lot of fun IMO). I for me have no ambition to play the actual turns, but I want to have some input in the game! It's just an extra level, without interfering to much with the front commanders (WE don't fight the war, YOU are ) Plus, this could be an incentive for the front commanders to keep good relations with the Politburo, and inform them on all matters concerning political actions!
Comrade Michaelovitch for Politburo!
For a pure and better communism!

A unanamous STAVKA vote could simulate militay coup I guess. I'm not really bothered either way.

The Politburo represents the will of the workers, and should be the only one capable of firing the Marshall. It is the workers, and not the Red Army, who are eventually in charge, and it is best the front commanders realize that they serve at the will of the proleteriot).
(Yes, I also realize I that in the worker's paradise I should learn how to spell proletariot correctly

Oh, and this is out of character, I want to make clear that Bossy20000 has nothing to do with my personality or anything, it's just a nickname (an abbreviation of my lastname) plus a typo (I was creating an e-mailadres in 2000 and mistyped)!
Just to make this clear to everybody before you start thinking that the role I play here could be my real personality

Beide, maar Nederlands is mijn moedertaal. Dit zorgt ervoor dat wij ongehinderd kunnen comploteren
Wat doe je in het echte leven?
For the non-dutch speaking members, we are NOT preparing a coup d'état, just exchanging some information! This is NOT a secret code of some kind

The fine thing about Dutch is that it's quite understandable to someone who knows Swedish and some German
