A few quick thoughts, the Sumerian leader seems to be Gilgamesh (try saving the pictures to get a filename). The Mayans seem to have a javelin thrower, and the Inca, a scout.
The biggest news is this. It seems that the Hittites are in!
One of the leaders is named Mursilis, who was a Hittite leader.
http://www.historytoday.com/index.cfm?articleid=3577
I have to admit, the Hittites seem like a rather questionable choice.

Conquests is due for fall, according to the banner. The features info is old news, but the stuff in FAQ and Screens are brand new.
FAQ says nothing about diplomacy in the editor section (!), but says the editor is greatly enhanced. Robust map editors, new abilities to make civs, units, wonders, advances, etc. Enhanced multiplayer. A lot of maps and scenarios.
Six screens. Two leaders, one looks distinctly Middle Eastern (Ethiopian or Israelite) and another distinctly Portuguese. The last four pictures show units, one is a trebuchet, the others look Incan, Mayan, and perhaps Sioux.

Thanks for the tip, Monkspider.
Hittites? Bad choice. Really bad choice.
Gilgamesh? Not bad, as Gilgamesh was a real chappy. Now that I think of it, that third unit looks Ethiopian.

Odd that. Hittites I'd never have guessed, especially since that Hittite could pass as Don Juan.

You can actually figure out what nationality the units are as well. All except the trebuchet, which seems to point toward it not being a UU.
Starting from the top, it is a Enikdu Warrior, followed by an Inca scout, followed by a Maya "Javelin".

Why does Mursilis have the Ishtar Gate behind him? Hmm...

I agree, I found that highly curious as well. Perhaps Gilgy and Musilis got their screenshots switched?
That's only thing I can think of, since the "Ishtar Gate Man" just looks more like Gilgamesh for some reason.

That's what I'd suspect. Considering the fact that Babylon began as a suburb of Uruk, Gilgamesh's capital, I wonder if they didn't just mix things up. Of course, the Gilgamesh looks more like an Arab than a Turk, which is also a bother.
But I agree, Mursilis fits Gilgamesh better, and Gilgamesh looks nothing like Gilgamesh. He should be a King David!

Hittites sound like an AoE copy-civ, but it does seem like the dimplomacy editor has been improved. Maybe they'll mention more of it in the coming days.

Yep
To answer any question you might have, no, we don't know the difference between that and a monarchy (civ3 gameplay wise)

i dont like that people have pushed firaxis for fundamentalism fascism is really more important as a government type but that will likely be in the game also.
hittites are for the ancient mediterranean campaign firaxis has been making so it isnt dumb that they included them

What puzzles me is how the Trebuchet fits in. It looks like it is not a UU (I suspect a bombardment UU would not be popular after the Hwacha came without LLB) so it will be available to all civs. But there isn't room between the stats for catapults and cannon for a worthwhile improvement on catapults. So how will it fit in?

bombard of 5?
why not... it is a 25% increase
and it wouldn't require salpeter... that is mayor difference
and more units is always fun
cheers

Maybe they'll increase the cannon, artillery bombard values and set the trebuchet at eight. Also, don't trebuchets have a large range compared to catapults and cannons?
