Energy allocations
This thread is about Googlie's tip of changing our energy allocations to 30-10-60 instead of 50-0-50. I've checked what it gives. Now, on 50-0-50 we are yearly producing 2 credits and 2 labs. If we would put our allocations to 30-10-60, we would produce 1 credit and 3 labs, which is increased to 3.6 labs yearly due to our +2 Research bonus.
I don't know for sure, but IIRC our current tech costs are 17 lab costs (seems extremely little - in RftP I have to pay 50 labs ). This would decrease the time to research our first tech from 9 to 5 turns if I'm not mistaken, but also cut in half our credit surplus. So, what to do?

why 10% psych? is that to decrease inefficiencies due to gaps between econ and labs allocation?

As an aside, with pod popping for techs and AA's disabled, the odds are increased for the other podpop events, such as energy credits, facilities completion and, yes, mindworms.
(which can be killed for their energy contribution)
So the need for ec's for rush-build, eg, might not be so severe. Of course on Transcend you will still need 40 ec's to change SE choices, so credits are necessary

Having played about with it, I think either 30:10:60 is best. I have voted as such.

Just bringing to the surface as you are currently still running at 50:0:50
currently perturn energy is 2, and next tech is after 8 turns
with the nut being worked, (growth in 7 turns, scout in 2, CP in 15)
........... at 30/10/60 it's 1 ec and 5 turns till next tech
........... at 10/10/80 it's 0 and 4
with the monolith being worked. (growth in 9 turns, scout in 2, CP in 10)
........... at 30/10/60 it's 1 and 4 turns till next tech
........... at 40/10/50 it's 2 and 5

Yep, is going to be changed this turn, that we now have. Wasn't sure of doing it last time with only 3 votes, but 4 is a majority, so I can now. I also completely forgot at the time
