I am just imagining millions of junkies going on the rampage for their next fix simultaneously.
If that's your idea of a "far better place" then you are one sick puppy.
If they were simultaneously all cured of their addiction at the same time - fair play.

I think that implied their addictions would magically vanish.
Actually, if their addictions and desire to use drugs vanished, then the drugs could stay and not affect anyone as no-one would be using them.

Would that include medicinal drugs, such as Aspirin, Morphine, etc.? If so, many millions more would die of preventable diseases. If a comparitively few people doing drugs illegally is the price we pay for curing diseases and having prescribed drugs, then I think it is a price worth paying.

You are gernalising too much. Same thing can be said about clothes, which are sort of like a fake skin. What about cosmetics? Or wigs? It's not that simple.

The world would be a better place without the existence of certain drugs, but criminalizing these drugs only makes the situation much worse.

The War on Drugs is just like Prohibition.

I don't like cosmetics either, ask my GF! As for clothes, I'd be kind of cold without them and I'd probably get scraped and cut more easily.

By the way, drugs are not the problem within themselves, it's the problems that lead people that do drugs that need to be dealt with, not the substances themselves.
