2103 Orders Thread [warning - includes large images]
Tech choices: Doctrine: Mobility, Planetary Networks, Industrial Base, Social Psych
Tech cost: 15
Tech accumlated: 7
Tech per turn: 6
Turns to next tech: 2
Current income: 2 per turn
Current energy reserves: 12
Screenshots:
(btw, it's using the Hive graphics for some reason; if anyone can tell me how to change this, please do).
Given the tech choices we've been offered and our previous discussion, I assume we're going for Social Psych; any objections?
As for the rest, my orders as Dean of Geopolitics would be to send the northern scout patrol north again to pop the pod, and the other two east from their current spots for exploration. I guess it's up to Archaic where the CPs will go, but I'd assume that the northern one will go NE, and the eastern one will go straight E.

You'll have to edit your alpha centuari.ini so it has the following lines down the bottom instead of whatever it has now.
Faction 1=HIVE
Faction 2=UNIV
Faction 3=PIRATES
Faction 4=CYBORG
Faction 5=DRONE
Faction 6=BELIEVE
Faction 7=ANGELS

Anyway, yes, that's how I planned to move the CP's, and everything else sounds about right too.

A bit off-topic. but is there any point in continuing this? Since our password is out and there's no way to change it, I can't really see the point of playing any further.
We might as well post the shots in the main ACDG forum. At least then everybody else will have equal access to it.

Social Psych sounds like the way to go. I was hoping to have a thread for technology posted last night, but it looks like I won't be able to post it until after work today. Anyway, thanks for the list of specific techs we have available -- my post will reflect that fact.

I have suggested a total ban on defections, ( - as proposed by mark13, who is in some other Democracy games with that prohibition) and a restart of this one with new passwords (to deal with the Tass issue) - it shouldn't take more than a few hours to get a restarted game to where we are at now, as all moves will (should) be the same - only podpopping outcomes might be different.
Of course it desn't stop a disgruntled team member from quitting a team and then supplying the password to another faction privately - but that always was a possibility.
And GT, how can we get the Moderator issue resolved satisfactorily?

MarkG removed my ability to access private forums other than this one. Whether it was complete I don't know, but I can't see any way to access them at present.

I've passed that news on to the other factions, so we should be in good shape now. Once JohnDMuller plays the Pirates turn and it goes thru Buster of the Drones we'll pretty much be back up to speed - just a 24 hour delay
(And as I said in the general threads, it also gave me the opportunity to tidy up the start a bit - give the factions their in-game names, prototype what needed to be protod, etc)
Plus it gave a chance for the logos, newspapers, etc to catch up to the game
(I'm almost sorry I'm CMN'ing it - it looks like it'll be a blast to play)
