Turn Update
2102 Turn Update
Completed the restart of the first turn minutes ago. Once again our Colony Pod gamble was attempted, but did not yield hoped for results. On the plus side we now have two monoliths inside the base radius.
Energy Income: 1 ec/turn
Research Rate: 15 turns

Actually since we're currently producing a Scout Patrol (to be completed next turn) it was more efficient to leave the workers on the nutrient resources in the sea given that the 3 nutrients will help speed up the pop. growth when we start building the Colony Pod. And there was no real need for the extra minerals from the monolith given that the Scout Patrol doesn't need them.

If I recall correctly it would have taken us longer to get a pop. growth than it would have to build the Colony Pod, this way (if my math is correct) we'll have it 1 turn sooner.

While I'm at it, the monolith means 3 x faster production and 3 x more energy = 1/3 of the turns to research the nect tech. There's never a good reason not to use a monolith for the first worker(s) The food's not bad either (2)

I was going to, but Photoshop crashed before I had a chance to save the pic, and I had already closed SMAX. I managed to recover the pic of the map since it was still on the clipboard.

From now on let us try to get together as many People's Ministers, Commissioners, and other officials together in a chat on IRC to do the turns. That way I can get your input right before we play the turn.
If everyone would please post the dates and times they would be available.

Its easy with hindsight to see the mistakes others have made. With teamwork, we can beat the capitalist running dogs, by helping one another.
(Also a lot of people joined the ACDG in order to learn something, so I hope open discussions like this are good for someone )

The Spartan Chronicles Chat Room is vacant these days as we've pretty much discontinued the fiction
You are welcome to use that if you want - it's at:
http://googlie2.tripod.com/spartanchronicles/id9.html
and just click on the blue "Chat Now" button
(I won't make this offer to any of the other factions, so you'd not be interrupted)

Considering I am in a different time zone, (pacific) chatting is sort of a hit and miss thing for me. What about ICQ? That does not require instant messaging but it can be used as such.
P.S. I am a bit new at this, but I am alowed ot download the saved game right? and try out what I can right?

Yes - you'd need to download the Hive turn, though, and have the password. Still would let you play just one turn, though, as when you'd finish that turn as a Play By E-Mail it'd boot you out to the Cyborrg's turn and password
Due to some (soon to be resolved, we hope) forum secut=rity concerns only Voltaire has the new password
(of course he can share it by e-mail, thus avoiding posting it in the forums for the time bieng)
The current turn (2102, the start year) screenshot is posted in one of these private forums

Thanks Googlie for the offer! We'll probably have to discuss this new opportunity with other Hive members.
I'm like Haon too where I am in PST. If Haon's location is correct, I'm just a little ahead of him (I really do live in Hawaii BTW).
I have ICQ so you can contact me with that, or use MSN messenger.
Thanks again Googlie!

Well technically I am ahead of you because I am one day forward. but I get your point. I will add you to your ICQ list, I go by the alias "Dr. Strangelove" I have exams and such going on at this time as well, so I can not comfirm meetings at set times.
And Voltaire, we should make our passwords less obvious, like "I Love Money" or "Down With Lenin" to make it harder for our enemies to guess our passwords.
