Turn 2112 played by me, Octavian X and Static Universe. The Hive will produce a Pod next turn, we need to have a decision of where to send it. We also gained a Unity Rover. Fellowship City makes a Former next turn too. Time to mine the minerals, farm the nuts and forest the energy rescorces The rover in the south has found ANOTHER boil of mindworms, but that's life.

I'm glad you changed the worker in Fellowship City. I was going to mention it but when I tabbed back you had saved the turn. Good thinking.

Why don't we put it at the purple base site Comrade Static Universe suggested? It would be more beneficial in the long term.

May I suggest just move the base 1 grid to the north between the nut and ernergy resources, this way there's less overlapping and we could utilize the river square in the north also.

Because this base can produce a colony pod BEFORE the colony pod could even reach the purple site. Closer is ALWAYS better. Given the choice of building a base in 3 turns, or in 12 turns, what do you take? We should overlap, and squeeze together and MULTIPLY!

We're taking a chance moving it through that patch of fungus undefended as it is. Should we move around it in 5 turns instead?

Problem is sending it anywhere would take quite a long time from the Hive. Maybe we should make some roads?

Turns already played, good. I LOVE Hive efficiency.
As for the colony pod location, I agree, let us build as many colony pods and quickly build baby cities around the existing ones. The time will soon come where we'll have expanded through the whole of the continent.

Should we plonk stockpile energy in end of colony pod? Or is that bad taste?

Yes, let's build enough bases, so many that we need to start naming them after foreigners.

The base prefect (or anyone for that matter) should probably hold a poll on what the new base will be called.

I prefer the method where the people give suggestions for the base prefect and the prefect chooses the best name. No need for more polls, well you cannot have too many polls though.

I agree, since expansion is our goal we don't need multiple polls goings at the same time just for individual base names. One thread should suffice.

Fellowship City is building a former, and its growing slowly. Next should be ANOTHER former, and then ANOTHER former and then a Colony Pod.

If it is needed by the party and if the Chairman said so Comrades will endure the bad taste.

You should be plonking stockpile energy after every unit, formers, colony pods, scouts, etc.
The rules permit it, and every other faction is doing it, so you are needlessly denying yourselves energy credits if you don't

Remember, more energy credits for The Party means more energy for you.
Just do as the God says...
Also, I continue to realize that I cannot type the right words in this thead.

I meant former, and since I didn't know the city was growing slowly (post city screenshots, dammit! ), we'll amend the build queue as Jam suggests.

hmmmm, the plan for the base next to the mineral resources has been scrapped?
Looking over the previous comments, I see that making "baby cities" around the existing powerhouse bases seems like a feasible idea....but it does seem rather redundant?

It's the colony pod from the hive that will become the "baby city". It's too far away to make from the red and yellow proposed sites to be useful there.

Regarding Stockpile Energy, this means that we lose any run-over minerals from production of something and get credits instead, yes? The choice is... do we want the minerals to be put towards the next project, or do we want to convert the run-over to cash - if there is a run-over? That's if I understand how the stockpile energy in the build queue works.
