After Rush Hour was announced, I returned to Simcity 4, installed the two patches, added the now-free transportation CD data, found me an excellent money trainer - praise be to DEViANCE / MYTH - and am currently trying to enjoy the game in "sandbox" mode. I'm studying to be an architect, with some interest in urban planning, so I don't give a rat's arse about city budgets or department funding.
GalCiv has been interesting, but I did binge gaming after the foul experiance that was MOOIII, so I got tired with GC after about three weeks. Giving it a rest for the time being.
MOOIII will remain in quarenteen on my hard drive until I hear sufficiently good things about the upcoming code patch, due out in the next few weeks (by mid-June at the lastest I'm betting).
I've been trying to get Transport Tycoon Deluxe (with the popular mods included) to work with XP, but it's been a pain getting there. Still working on that...
That's pretty much it for now.

My buddies have been playing Phantasy Star Online for the Xbox a TON recently. I found it kind of funny when I learned that even that game is suffering from dupes and hacks due to modded Xboxes.
Personally, I think the game is stupid, but they seem to love it.

Actually Wizardy 8 is next on my to-buy list, I love old-school single-player RPGs

Ha, and now I'm playing old skool Wolfenstein 3D (the reward for beating the single player on Return to Castle Wolfenstein, only takes 4-5 hours to beat). This game is so cheesy it's awesome, but I can't really take more than 15 minutes of it at a time.

I'm giving Total Annihilation: Kingdoms a try. It's turning out to be a lot like Warcraft, but with all unis autorepairing and a max unit limit. Not sure how long i'll be playing it as its turning into build as many ranged attack units as i can as fast as i can to get to the unit max, and then ambush enemy units so that i can build more while they lose theirs... I've won several stages in the campaign without exploring much of the map that way...

Well, I have been playing Chess since I was seven? I think it really depends how old the game is.
Still, while Civ3 is a good game it ain't a Classic like Civ 1 and 2.

SimCity 4 and Europa Universalis 2(I just can't get enough! ) mostly. And some old games just for the nostalgia.

I play NFL Madden 2003 on my GC but mostly I play board games with my wife. I haven't really played a computer game in a long while! I will eventually come back to play Civ and HoI, plus I want to finish BG2 at some point!
So long...

Mostly Freeciv and Civ2 scenarios from time to time. For the rest i'm trying to stay off the beaten tracks. There are plenty of alternative/retro-remakes/freeware/ open source games available.

I'm giving Total Annihilation: Kingdoms a try.
The problem with TAK is that it's incredibly easy. I got through at least twenty scenarios before becoming extremely bored with the lack of challenge.
TA, OTOH, presents more of a fair challenge, though it's also easy after beating the Warlords Battlecry II campaign on Extreme.
I'm playing:
/Warlords Battlecry II/
/Civilization II MGE/ (PBEM)
/Civilization II TOT/ (PBEM)
/Total Annihilation/
/Baldur's Gate/
/Transport Tycoon Deluxe/
/Duke 3D/
