A GOOD Political Ideology poll.
This is a test of my own political ideology model.
Democratic power:
Anarchist: minimal government
Democratic: Voter elects for political party, as in Europe.
Republicanist: Voter elects individual, as in US.
Oligarchist: Single-party, Theocratic, or Millitary Governmnent.
Absolutist: Dictatorship or Absolute Monarchy
Economics:
Communist: Complete control of industry by workers
Socialist: Complete control of industry by government
Social Democrat: Partial control of industry by government.
Regulated Capitalist: As in US
Capitalist: No government regulation of industry
Social Ideology:
Radical: Believe extreme social change is needed
Liberal: Believe moderate social change is needed
Moderate: Believe little social change is needed
Conservative: Want to maintain status quo
Reactionary: Want to return to past policies, such as segregation, etc.

That is a value exchange system, it can be either capitalist or communist.

Sorry, when I hear "economy" I think "currency". To me, barter implies something much more primitive then any of those options. But I was mostly just trying to be argumentive, anyways.
Anyways,
Anarchy
Communism
Radical
For me, too.

I thought up this poll because the old Left-Right line and the newer social-economic grid were not good enough to show people's political opinions. For example, Libertarians don't fit in the old style Left-Right line.

These definitions are a bit messed up. They have more to do with how much distributive justice is carried out by the system than who controls what.

Democracy
Socialism
Liberal (but I could fit in radical too)
I voted socialism, because my definition of communism is Marx' classless society, and I don't believe in it.

In Europe, for example in Germany, party discipline is much, much stronger than in the US, and it is very rare to see a MP publicly dissenting of the party line.
However, European systems aren't completely depersonalized, since most elections are about one candidate (whether local or nationwide). But in some occurences, the voter chooses between lists that have been established by parties.
In Germany, the parliamentary elections are half-half : you get to vote for your district's candidate PLUS you get to vote for a Landwide list.
Party politics allow for a clearer idological distinction when voting, but it can lead to coalition politics which hurt said idologies (when a party has to make concessions to its partners)
