yep nothing is impenetrable, the point is , is to slow people down (to give u time to react or gather sufficient forces) (and/or) make them go around (so u can attack them from a position you find more favorable).

hi ,
does not work in the terrain , ....
either you go true it , and clear the things in your way as you go along or you dont , ......
going around can be a real pain , .....
works great for fishtraps , but not on land with humans , ......
with remote sentry guns ( we use them allready for years with great succes ) and electronics like those that can sniff human sweat 500 meters away you get the early warning , ..... however , ........ a minefield tends to work both ways , .......

hi snoopy,
yeah alittle bit more Civ style will be nice. But not to much because, then you got to play Civ instead of RoN. On the other hand the whole history of Mankind in just an hour. . . . No! I think to extend the game is the right way. Keep on i´m waiting for your mod.

Chances are man, he's never gonna finish. It was like maybe the beginning of May he started thinking up of this. We haven't heard from him for a while. Guess some of us got lives . I guess this mod died...
I stopped playing RoN for many, many months. Recently (and by recently I mean like two days ago) I picked up the game again after watching Indiana Jones 2 and 3 (the old school Nazis reminded me of RoN for some reason). I came back to see if this mod was done and I've found it abandonded...
Damn.

I'm going to look at the naval units and increase their size again first. I'll get the units looking good before i decrease range and maybe i'll make the shadows smaller, it kind of looks weird.
Then, and maybe then ill get to buildings.

I know this is an old thread, but just for the record, I stopped because I couldn't go any further, there were certain things that needed tweaking, but couldn't be tweaked.
I did mention that before, but I wasn't clear enough about it. I just got Thrones and Patriots, I wonder if I can go back and tweak more stuff now. I will attempt it some time.

Been monitoring off and on..to answer why a person starts a mod...as I have done a lot of modding in 4 years with many games..is simply, for me that is, you come to a point where you realize you have entered a realmn where you may need a lot more experience..
I got a great piece of advice years ago..

Getting it to work is a lot more than simply lowering the scale for everything. It seems that the skid marks vehicles make don't match their size, among a huge amount of other things.

It would still be nice to have more expensive Techs in RoN, so ages don't advance too quick. Maybe change build times.. make buildings take longer to make and units too.
How about making some new Futuristic Era graphics for Ron snoopy? Spaceports or something.
Hoping to Try the full game of RoN again.. only got the trial demo.

IMHO, Ron is well worth the moola plucked down for hours and hours off fun
