Warning!! Virus Alert!
Due to lack of any foreign matters to deal with, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been researching the datalinks in its time. In searching the datalinks, however, our functions have come across an insidious virus. This virus was apparently placed into our datalinks aboard the Unity by a rival faction, in an attempt to incapacitate us. Fortunately, the virus was contained before it could do much damage, however three functions had their logic pathways fused, and had to have them replaced. This is a warning to all functions to not open any of the files contained in the following directory without good reason, and even then to do so only with the greatest precautions:
/entertainment/20thcentury/humour/MPflyingcircus/
The directory contains a number of video files, each approximately 30 minutes in length. As far as our functions have been able to tell, the virus operates by flooding the logic pathways with inane and unexplainable input. The logic pathways are unable to make sense of the data input, and resultingly fuse. The directory has not been deleted, but access has been restricted to those in the upper echelons of the government. The files have not been deleted so that information as to who exactly uploaded the virus can be found and extracted.
Although information as to the perpetrators is needed, this constitutes a grave security threat for the Cybernetic Consciousness. We must all work hard to locate the cause of this threat and to prevent similar occurrences in the future.
