Terraforming Discussion
We now have our first former, so I'd say it's about time we started a thread for discussion on how to terraform. The first (and most urgent) thing we need to figure out is: what should we do with it first?

Seeing as we have the bases all currently on tiles that can't be improved with the current restrictions, I'd say we should start with getting a skeletal road system up between them, and between the bases and the next base sites.

Ok - so, as we seem to be agreed on all other matters, coudl you play the turn, please? I expect you know better than me where you'd like this road network to go...

Can't while I'm here at Uni sorry. Could you please? Seeing as Uni Base is unlikely to be producing a CP anytime soon, I'd say we may as well put the former onto the East Rocky/Mineral and start building the road there.

Don't foprget Vel's tip - if you found a base on a sensor, the base gets the 25% defensive bonus and then it can't be used by an attacking force sitting on it with a defensive bonus when you counter attack (as it would if it were outside the base)

However, at present we have no new base sites planned, so we can't make a whole lot of use of that...

Yeah - and absent anything else, roads are good too - to get your (eventual) CP's to the front faster for base-founding (the old "turn advantage" again)

Archaic's suggestion seems good enough to me. We really need a good road network. And since we're probably going to found a few more bases to the North and Northeast of Mir Lab, I think the former is on a good way...

Moreover, now that I look at the layout of our bases, we only need two squares of road to connect them all...

Yup. Two squares of road, plus a sensor on the eventual base tile if we've got to time to put it there before the CP will arrive. Not much point making other improvements until we've got our Rec Commons up, for these bases at least.
