MoDA Communication: 23d Turn Chat State of Lemuria (980 BC)
Dear citizens of Lemuria,
As you already know it, we are still at war against the Austrians and the Germans. On the Austrian front, the war has reached a turning point, our military strength is now superior to the Austrian's one. The fights are bitter though and each victory like "Pilsen" is won through heavy losses. We are currently gathering the units that will launch the next assaults.
On the German front, the intentions of our ennemy are unclear, though some German armies have crossed our borders and are threatening our cities, the Germans are yet to attack.
Tamerlin
Minister of Domestic Affairs

Good job
Maybe we should rush some of the objects? I think we have a lot of spare money, or?

Rushing some buildings might well make sense, yes, but I'd rather not rush units.

I don't think it does make sense to rush an item if it is finished in two turns, but it shouldn't be to expensive, so a building for 4 or 5 turns that costs 2000 gold would be ok.

Sorry, should have been a bit more clear:
Yes, buildings..........
Martin,
WHy not even some buildings with just two turns left? It will make the city earlier available as well......(Like Pedrunnia)
this doesn't cost a lot of money, but each time you gain ~1 round. Can't remember, does anyone know, if you pay the outstanding production or just what is missing, sp excluding the cities production?

The price is proportional to the total production cost times the square of the fractional remaining production.
(At least, thats how it worked in CTP - I assume it hasn't changed).

But including or excluding the current production?
So in other words, you would rush and then change production values, would it be finished or not? In other words: like SMAC or like CIV?

If you mean the current rate at which the city is producing - that doesn't matter. If you've bought something it'll be finished no matter what you do aferwards.

We have 4688 gold in our treasury.
IMO the prime candidates for a Rush Buy are H Town's Theater (2038 gold), which would allow us to remove an entertainer and increase the production speed, or Linz's Academy (3240), which would increase our science rate though the cost is very high...
