MP Newbie needs a hand

Hello everybody.

I finally managed to fix my computer for internet access.

What do I need to do to try a MP game? Do I need to set up an ICQ account?

I've played a fair amount of SP but I am a complete MP rookie.

Make sure you download the lastest patch.

YEs, an icq account will help.

Then just post here and you'll find a game.

Is this the most recent patch?

That's what mine says, though I don't have the bit about a no-limit patch.

you may have conflicts with the no limits patch.....not 100% sure on that one

After paynig for civ3 I think I'm entitled to at least 1 for free.

I didn't pay for MGE.............but I paid for Civ2, SMAC and Civ3, so my conscience is clear.

I got taken for the full ride. I payed for civ2 original, conflicts, fantastic worlds and mge.

Hmmm, the only way to be sure is to test it.

And yes, I've paid for all of them. The only one still used is civII.,

I haven't played any of them in over a year, except for our brief test of PTW.

But even after figuring it out, it still sucked. Instead of that one more turn feel, it was more like, not another stinking turn, Please.

tell me about it, with all the problmes just setting the game up, not to mention the lag issues.....

They have lost all their good will to the point that I didn't even want to try the new patch.

i think i would be interested.....i haven't been in the civ 3 forums for a long time, so i am not sure how the game has been evolving?

I peek at gamespy and the forums here from time to time................MP never took off, and wont any time soon.
