The KCL bar on the Strand does pints for £1.20... doubt it'll be open out of term-time though.

as long as I know it in advance, I'm fine with it
f uck, that ryanair.com only provides online bookings for credit card holders, which I'm not. I'm either gonna have to ask my father to do the booking for me, or go to a tourist office (eugh!) to order them. more fees...

Don't forget there's also a 6 euro credit card fee, if you do decide to pay with a credit card.

Have you considered trying to get into a (heavily subsidised) student bar?
I'm sure one of the LSE, IC, UCL or ULU bars will be open, even in August.

Sevenoaks. And Cantium means Kent.
It's in Latin.

a few million people in this country speak Saxonian.

Some of them even live in Bavaria. Sevenoaks in (modern) Saxonian will be "Siemeischn".

As I passed a bookshop, I thought a 5 minute break from London streets would clear my head, and I ended up buying a book.

Well, it's as easy to find as any other London Wetherspoons, possibly with the exception of the one on West India Quay.

The Leicester Square Moon Under Water I actually found first, since it's closer to the tube station Doesn't get so good a write-up in the UPG though.

'Bout a hundred metre difference. Coming from the south Leicester Square is the first I come to, and I'd rather walk than stand on the tube for the distance.
