On the other hand, the US has murdered more people per capita, meaning it's really good at it.

Did you actually pay attention to the contents of this thread? This is the Hindu/Buddhist "swastika"

Like I said, I've seen both forms in the Hindu (indeed, Hindu, not Buddhist ) parts of Asia.

There exist many types of signs which stand for the Swastika. Even the standard version has two forms, the one facing the right - also called the symbol of- the right hand path and the one facing the left, called the symbol of the left hand path. These two Swastikas are also considered to represent the male and female. There is also a Swastika which is an amalgam of these two types

Locutus,
Yes, sometimes the Hindu symbol is drawn clockwise, but it would be nigh impossible to distinguish it from the Nazi one without context, e.g. used as an avatar. You can never go wrong with the counterclockwise one, however.

Well, I'd say either both are still prety darn close to the Nazi swastika and should prolly be avoided in avatars, unless there's a very good reason for it. But I guess it really depends on the exact form of the swastika and its context (or lack thereof) as well: nobody seems to have a problem with the swastika in Uber KruX's avatar (though I'm not sure how long he's had it). Like someone already said: a lot comes down to intent... (which in Zylka's case doesn't leave much room for doubt )

If they remove Uber's I can think of at least one more that needs to go considering the offensive symbol he formed it out of.

DD, I'm not saying it has to go (personally, I would think that would be rather silly: it's clearly mocking the two ideologies depicted).
The difference between hammer & sickle and swastika is that hammer & sickle are symbols of communism in general and are used by communists all over the world, while the swastika is a symbol of Hitler and Nazi-Germany in particular: other fascist regimes use different symbols.
That, combined with the fact that fascism by its very definition preaches rasicm and hatred, while communism is at its heart a perfectly acceptable ideology (even if it may arguably never work in practice and has been abused as an excuse for terrible atrocities).
Anyway, I don't make site policy, so my opinion doesn't count anyway

Uber is still sporting a swastika. One that mixes and matches the top two murderous ideologies of the 20th century. Good going, man!
Edit: I see that this has already been noted. My bad.

You see, this is the problem! I, for example, never even noticed your avatar involved anything (I have to squint to see it anyways ).
No one ever does any harm until someone overly sensitive raises the alarm. If it weren't for the alarm-raising, I wouldn't have noticed Uber's, H's, or probably even Zylka's...oh well, Apolyton must be sensitive and cuddly-fuzzy I guess
