I just opened the map as the AI Sioux. They have one city, bugger all land but are sending an invading army to the Greeks I think. Sioux don't have Poly.
How about I take the Sioux with my two cities in addition - to make up for loss of starting settler and to punish Horse of course! I'll agree to set a border with Horse at those mountains and only use the Dumbos if he attacks first. I can't build any more though without Poly. We need to go back one turn before I accidentally attacked Horse (because of the argument etc)
This only leaves me with 10-14 squares on Horses land...
I can edit a scenario to set this up if interested?
This helps get rid of AI nonsense and I'll agree to a border with Greeks.

That sounds like a good plan to me... I like that game, but more importantly it may ease the angst people have. I'm around for a thursday game, and friday / saturday too....

You were quite happy with Makeo switching civs once.

You can switch but concede on the other civ first. You can't keep both.

Yes, underay at 10 it was!
But the 'discussion' continued on icq... pity I can't post it. What he said was unbelievable! That I'm a looney or a drunk and if I didn't tone down in the forums he would not hold back
Horse seems more upset about me saying I didn't believe finbar (which was a pretty tame comment - even used across dinner tables) rather than recognising the significance of falsely calling me a cheat which he's not properly apologised for. Go figure!
I can only put down finbar's and Horse's over reaction and reversion to seriousness as some form of guilt. Look at the things that's been posted about me over the years - I give as good as I get yet they troll constantly, only deciding that enough's enough when it suits them. Hypocrits. Oooops.

That's the other thing. Horse makes up rules up as you go along! He suddenly decided that bribing AI is OK, despite that fact that Aployton culture suggests that you only bribe back off the AI what the AI takes off you. Luckily the other players in the game argued the point and Horse played the 'consensus' card
God he must be bad at his job!
My approach would be to NOT state a new rule but to ask a question of the group. And I generally prefer clear democracy a la voting to make the decision.
From King Horsie (A.D. 260): I neglected to mention you can bribe ai civs - because they will do it to you
To Consul Merlin, Mr. Trevriffic, King Horsie, Consul Hydey Khan (A.D. 260): makes it up as he goes along..
From Consul Hydey Khan (A.D. 260): here we go
From King Horsie (A.D. 260): no we've always played it like that deity, it was for the benefit of the newbies
From Consul Hydey Khan (A.D. 260): finbar save us
To Consul Merlin, Mr. Trevriffic, King Horsie, Consul Hydey Khan (A.D. 280): not cities
From King Horsie (A.D. 280): cities too
To Consul Merlin, Mr. Trevriffic, King Horsie, Consul Hydey Khan (A.D. 280): LOL
To Consul Merlin, Mr. Trevriffic, King Horsie, Consul Hydey Khan (A.D. 280): you are a joke on 4 legs
From King Horsie (A.D. 280): I should add that I am not at war with any ai but I noticed someone else was
From Consul Merlin (A.D. 280): I would have thought that ai is no different to person on city bribes
From King Horsie (A.D. 280): no because the ai will bribe your cities
To Consul Merlin, Mr. Trevriffic, King Horsie, Consul Hydey Khan (A.D. 280): you can only bribe back what you lose is the norm
From Consul Merlin (A.D. 280): bribe back is okay
From King Horsie (A.D. 280): no its open slaver on bribing the ai
From Consul Merlin (A.D. 280): no thats not cool
From Consul Hydey Khan (A.D. 280): I won't be doing it
To Consul Merlin, Mr. Trevriffic, King Horsie, Consul Hydey Khan (A.D. 280): nor I
From Mr. Trevriffic (A.D. 280): I would recommend bribe back only as some week those civs may be run by humans
From King Horsie (A.D. 280): fine with me - I get nothing out of this
To Consul Merlin, Mr. Trevriffic, King Horsie, Consul Hydey Khan (A.D. 280): and that what its about...

OK, Makeo is here tonight and if he agrees we can continue that game where a few players have come and gone as AI. Horse can be AI tonight...
