Have I missed anything? Any fundamental shifts in policy between AH and Deity? Has Makeo switched to water skiing? Has Hydey found salvation and joined the Christian Temperance League? Has Finbar thrown away his ethics and created a smash hit children's show called "Mr. Poopy and the Stinky Pants"?
Hmmm?
Oh, and thanks for the pic of the gnawed upon pear in the other thread...somehow, I can't help but think it was a bit more appetizing before it was half eaten.
Had a bit of prosciutto with sun dried tomato basil cheddar cheese the other day--lovely!

The peaceful enlightenment seeking Celts got wiped out by the heathen Aztecs - while their Guardian angel was asleep! The curse of Merllin lies heavy upon their culture...

at least 2 of us could have left Makeo without his aztecs while the AI ran his civ but thought of makeo's feelings and left them alone.
now how did Makeo treat other people when their civ was under AI control ???

Well actually you bribed after about 4 turns , I could have bribed it before that but we had agreed that it was a no bribe game so I didn't.
I guess we played under different rules

Anyone able to play Thursday night
I've been playing a bit of Rise Nations this week. Promising game. Kept me up till 1am last night. Its RTS but there isn't too much micro and the game has a civ "feel" about. Brian Reynold's influence and background is very much apparent. He's listened to the civ 2 community and there are a lot of features in there that we were asking for.
I think deity might really like it.
The best part is you can take as long as you like, micro as much as you like, pause whenever you like, or finish a single player game as quickly as 40 minutes.
The replay and stats features are pretty awesome. The armies fight well and the civilisations are cohesive.
You guys should check it out.

I won my first game last night. I played all the tutorials first during the week.
Played Greek, built 3 cities, an army and a navy. Found the Chinese on a neighbouring continent, took control of the seas straits. Sent my Rennaissance army over and took their capital and another city, which gave me control of 70% of the map. Game over in 44 minutes

It would be cool if we started playing ron mp with the same people
Once I get it working (hopefully) i don't think it would be a good idea to get in the habit of using the pause button. not too much possibility to pause in mp game.

If noone is up for some civ I'm going to try some MP RoN tonight.
I was checking out the interface today and its beautifully laid out, all the info you need at your finger tips on the screen.
