Internet access in Australia - help
Are there any free! dial-up ISPs in Australia. Quick net search brought me nothing worth trying.
I'd just want a no-nonsense access, no special dialers, no charges to pay. (Or I could accept a small extra per-minute fee on the phone bill.)
Don't need mail accounts or web space.

If you want to connect to the net, it will cost you money. I doubt that a company will pay for the connection for you.

Absolutely. Electricity is nothing like electricity.

Colon:
notice the spelling error in TheStinger's post and you'll see why catullus responded as he did.
catullus:
Does NetZero help any? They, and I supposed similar ISPs, offer free access each month for a limited time (NetZero says they give 10 hours each month for free)

Maybe one of these days Markos will get around to installing a spell-check feature... ...lord knows I'd benefit.

Oh well, nobody notices the spelling errors anyway. At least I don't.
BTW in principle there is a spelling checker but: "This site's subscription to SpellChecker.net has expired. The webmaster for this site can renew their subscription by visiting www.SpellChecker.net"

Not really, but thanks anyway.
In most civilized parts of the world there are many truly free ISPs (usually making money by paid support, portal banners, kick-backs from tele companies and such). The land of Oz may have been left behind.
