No one has proved to me that it is a good game, either.
I am reserving final judgement for the upcoming code patch.

why don't you ask this in a week when the patch comes out?
It can't honestly be called a game until you can lose.

Good game? Haha. I only hope the code patch saves it. Otherwise I should burned the 50 bucks, it would have been more entertaining.

Charles... You are like 'The last of the Fanbois'...
And I wonder what qualifies as 'proof' to you that it is not a good game? I have read dozens of threads here where people explained in good details of what they do not like about the game and why.
Let me see if I can summarize why I think its not a good game...
They took the worst aspects of MoO1 and MoO2, mixed them with some self added poison, e voila, we have the worst game I ever bought.
Why they didnt take the best aspects, added candy and made the BEST game is beyond me. Maybe they should have asked fans what they would like to see before coding their 'vision'.
Well and of course then there is the many bugs, I am sure they speak for themselves.
And the ever evident sloppiness of game design... I mean, no color selection in the original release? Come on...

I'll wait for the patch to give you my opinion, although speaking of games, anything you like or dislike is rather subjective.
What I can say is that moo3 will not be a great game as Moo1 or Moo2 were.
Nevertheless, I hope I'll still have my fun glassing ithkul planets... There are some aspects of the game I like very much....

"beauty is in the eye of the beholder"
or in other words:
good or bad game is a personal opinion
conclusion:
if you like it play it, hang aroung the forums to exchange useful information but don't try to push your opinons on other people.
If you don't like it don't play it, find a game you do like and frequent the forums relevant to the game and cease goading the people that do like it (after one farewell rant about how much money has been wasted on poor software).
i.e. live and let live
