I have no particular opinion on the time limit, but if/when such a limit and grace period does expire, I think we should let Googlie do whatever he (or is that He?) wants with the turn, short of deliberate mucking up of things... if he feels like interpreting the private forum discussion and playing thus, then he'll do so; if he just feels like hitting "turn", then he'll do so. I don't think the offending faction would have much grounds for scapegoating or complaining.

I'm in favor of leniency in cases where a faction gives a reasonably-ahead-of-time heads-up about the upcoming "delay of game".

Well, one reason is that at least one of our three turn players (i.e. me) had a fried internet connection for a week, with predictable effects on the rate at which turns got played. That a good enough explanation for you?

So GT, then why the H@## didn't you bother to at least download the turn while you were on-line making your excuses - your colleagues apparently couldn't even be bothered to do that little in the well over 24 hours that has already gone by since your turn was posted.

It's my final exam period for the semester, give me a break. I just spend 2 and a half hours writing about 3000 words for a final exam in my unit on Government, Business & Society (ie. Politics). The fact that my partner here hasn't been on, together with most of the other Uni faction members, has meant that I've been waiting the full 24 hours in most cases simply because I want to try and discuss the moves I'll make with other people.

I dunno, when I was a student I'd stay at college late on the internet - especially if I had exams coming. But 10:30pm? Perhaps not.

Could be that he was/is doing just that in another browser window and that 'Poly hasn't yet loaded the page.

Can GT close this thread. It is just a way for factions to have a go at the PUT, and should never have been posted. What does a new member, looking at this page think? Answer: I don't want to be involved in this crap

Also, JDM: You do know it isn't a 24 hour limit. In the vote, the most popular option was 48 hours. Ok, your frustrated, but don't try and insult other factions to vent it.

Yea, we kind of got over the anger at the University for taking ridiculously long for there turns a while back (see post where Rokossovky begs forgiveness from the GooglieGod and it is granted).
