Update:
The allied armed forces are 90% done!
Notables:
-Sherman "Firefly" tank done from scratch.
-Pershing tank resized and redone.
-Regular and Elite infantry complete.
-As mentioned before the entire air force from the U.S. and Britain from late 1945 to 1950 has been finished.
-All naval units (Axis and Allied) are complete.
-All transitional Axis units units are done (I'll explain what "transitional" means when I release the scenario).
-The new luftwaffe of "what could have been" is currently being developed.
-The wermacht of "what could have been" is currently being developed.
The Stuka that I posted on the WW2 units forum is one of the units that a German player will start out using, but it will eventually be made obsolete with new jets!
Keep checking back for more...

Why not put the suburb buildings around the existing railroad graphics, so it looks as if the railway is running through the suburbs. Creating both the visible effects of transportation and suburban housing?

That's a decent idea... Problem is that I don't know if I'd want to surround my cities with railroads as it would take away the effect of "urban fighting"... Maybe I'll put suburbs on the road squares and use them to surrond the cities. Of course then I'd have to pretty much - ah hell I'll think on it. Thanks for the tip Warvoid.

Can I beg you not to put in the Maus if you were planning to? The Germans could have mass produced that like they could have mass produced a battleship.
The E.100 is a better candidate

Screenshots? Wellllllll, sure, I'll put something together.
and sorry Darth, the "little mouse" will be featured, but as an event created unit. I concur with your assesment as to the economics of manufacturing the behemoth, but I want to include it in for special missions. As for the E-100 I will try to include a myriad of the E series in the game with the use of multiple unit files. I'll just manufacture them as they were conceived, using essentially the same chasis for most of them.
I hope to make the E-50 the standard future tank for the Germans.

Ok, I finally broke down and bought psp 8, so now I can publish wonderful screenshots. I haven't started placing units yet, seeing as I am still making the damn things, so no cities or actual in-game stuff. If someone can correctly name the units I will give you a cookie. Oh and please don't take the luftwaffe units for granted, I just made them today and will be improving them.

Ok question. Should Canada be British or a British Ally in the scenario? Remember this is 1947.
The reason why I'm asking is that it could create tech and unit issues if Canada was a seperate Civ.

I would put Canada under the British allies.
Although the WW2 contribution by Canada was great, the amount of civs available in CIV2 force us to compromise.
Canada can be represented by a unit shield in certain units, or whatever you have in mind.
PS
To say I am eagerly awaiting this scenario is a huge understatement!

I think I'm going to put the Canadians directly under the Brits. They worked so closely with the Brits during the real WW2, and besides, the Brits will need the extra units under their control to help combat the Nazi threat.
You Canadians out there don't fret to much, I made sure to make Canada as geographically sound as I could, cities and all.
Oh yeah, and the Swedes needn't worry either, your country is well stocked with cities. They may be of the unalligned civ, but stocked nonetheless.
I did happen to reach the 255 city limit today. I've got a trick up my sleeve to thwart that evil number while still filling up the country and retaining a strategic value for the "empty" terrain....
The entire map is nearly done from a strategic standpoint. I just need to organize my units and begin placing them on the map. After that its playtesting time....

Update
Civ placement, choke points, strategic terrain, and improvements have been placed.
Finished a unique city style for the Russians.
Working on all new icons. 50% done.
City Improvements & Wonders renamed and given to Civ's, with plenty left over to build during course of game.
First unit grid set to be finished this weekend.
Working on Easter Eggs & hashing out final scenario twists...
Starting to grab some sounds.
Mercator, I might try out your CivSwap. I have to test it first though.
Be warned. I'm making this scenario out to be extremely stressful...

@Curt or Anyone who's willing:
Yeah actually, I could use three icons. One for a radio station, a tv station, and a movie theater.

Game & Label text files are complete. Working on civilopedia, describe, and rules.
Gave the Soviets Georgi Zhukov as a leader. Truman to Americans, Churchill (2nd Administration) to British. Debating on whether to have Mussolini as leader of allied axis nations.
I might be eliminating the American/Brit allies so as to make room for special squad based play and promotional plot, using the loophole I found when using CivCity. By the way, I need some help on something special if anyone is up to it.
First unit grid is pretty much done. I just want to make a few tweaks.

What is the technique to stay <255 while keeping the map strategic?
